《CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX》

Boffy POV-

I could always see the way Tommy hurt. How painful it was, and how it ate at him.

I saw how Philza would immediately scowl once Tommy entered the room, small and fragile, with big blue eyes full of so much love- never knowing why His Dad would look at him as if him being their was wrong- never knowing why his older brothers would lock their doors as soon as they heard his soft footsteps- never knowing why every time he walked into the room, the people within it, began cutting their conversations short and rushing out.

"I know my Dad doesn't like me, but It never stops me from loving him", Tommy would say

 "Maybe that's the problem, it's just me", "Your not the problem, you never have been", I'd remind him, but deep down I knew, he never really believed me. 

He never would believe me, not when he always felt the need to take the blame for things out of his control. He always did.

I walked into the dim room, the lights providing a soft glow, and the silk banners across the ceiling looked almost like it was glowing with it. "Tommy", I whispered, and he sniffled quietly, while Bitzel and Luke embraced him without hesitance, I watched them hastily wipe away their tears, looking at each other with the largest grins I've ever seen, even Deo, who was leaning against the wall, let his sunglasses shift slightly so he could wipe away small tears that threatened to fall from his pure white eyes.

"How could you do this to me? Do you know how long I mourned? How horrible I felt? I really thought you guys were gone, I was in Denial for so long, and when I was beginning to reach the point of acceptance, fuckin' Timedeo has to be watching me argue with the top 3 heroes like some fucking stalker-", Deo sputtered, "I was only making sure they wouldn't hurt you", "Shut up, I know", Tommy muttered with another sniffle, as he began to cling to me, and I returned his hug with no problem, letting my hand rest on his head, "You really are clingy, Toms", He stammered out curses underneath his breath.

"Welcome Home", Deo whispered, hugging us all together tightly, like he was afraid we'd slip apart again if he didn't hold us together, "Thank you", Tommy said softly. Tommy's always been the glue holding us together though.

Wilbur POV-

"He said 'you just didn't want a son that was powerless', and I-", I looked at Phil with wide eyes and he cut himself off, he had been telling me about his argument with Tommy, and I was furious, "You- oh my god, Phil-", he flinched, "I know I was terrible, I know! I wasn't a good example to you or Techno either! I'm sorry! I'm so fucking sorry, Wil", "No! Shut up! That's not what i'm on about, I'm trying to put it all together!", "Put what together, Wilbur?", Techno asked, "We already know that Tommy's our family and all, and that he's a vigilante, yeah?", Techno and Phil nodded carefully, and I thought for a moment longer.

When Tommy went missing, his case was immediately shut down by Sapnap, who was the head of the police department, and was also one of Dream's partners in the medical field.  For some reason, they were filed as Heroes, publicly too, they were called the "Dream Team", and they always found their way into my thoughts, whenever I tried to piece together what happened when Tommy went missing, why his case was shut down so quickly. Sure, it could have been the fact that we provided little care for him before, as well as little evidence of his very existence, but I was never one to accept the facts, I've always been the one pushing their problems aside to let them grow, not owning up to my wrongs. Being a Hero has made me self-centered. Tommy, when he first started working for the Hero Corporation, I thought that he was afraid of me, that he just didn't trust me, and while that is true, he doesn't trust me, because why would he?- but he wasn't afraid of me, instead, it was just that he knew as well, our relation as brothers. He didn't hate me, surprisingly, he just didn't trust me, and that was it. He was never afraid. 

I came to a conclusion, revolving around Tommy's past disappearance, I know he didn't run away, because knowing him, if there is anything I know about him at all, he would have never run away from us because he is just too good. Too good for any of us. "Dream took him", I concluded, it made sense, because of course Sapnap would have shut the case down, he probably did so because he refused to let Dream get into trouble, George was probably involved too, knowing him, he'd follow Dream anywhere.

"What?", Techno asked, "Wilbur, your gonna have to elaborate on that", "We always thought that Tommy ran away because of us, but...as much as I wish that was it, I think Dream took him, it would make sense because Sapnap was the one who immediately shut down the case, as soon as he was given a photo of Tommy, he concluded that there was nothing they could do, do you not remember that they didn't even try  to find any leads on where Tommy could have gone or been taken to?", Techno seemed to think it over, "it- I want to believe that your on to something, Wil, I really do, but there isn't any physical evidence to prove what your saying is true, how did you even think of that??-", "actually..", Phil started, startling Techno and I both, as he had been stood there, completely silence for a while,  "I- I think that Wilbur's right, holy shit  He might actually be right-", "Guys", Techno spoke, "learn to elaborate", Phil's wings fluffed up in embarrassment, "sorry, sorry, It's just, the other day, you both remember Boffy, right?", I found myself rolling my eyes at the name, "Oh yeah, that guy", I muttered, Techno elbowed me lighly, "Wil, your gonna have to end your jealousy arc man", I sputtered, "What the fuck!? I'm not jealous" I crossed my arms, "I just dont-", "Just dont like how he and Tommy have such a good friendship?", Techno asked with a raised eyebrow, "Well, Yeah but-", "So, Jealous?", Philza asked, with an amused grin, "Okay! Enough accusing me of being jealous, because i'm not! Just- what were you saying about that dumb- ahem, Boffy?", Techno snorted at my slip up and Phil simply smiled before letting his grin drop and continue on with what he was saying before, "I heard Boffy on the Phone with one of Tommy's friends, I think his name was Tony or something, but Boffy and him were talking about Dream, as if he was a threat to Tommy, that's why I went to you, Wilbur, that's why I asked you to keep an eye on Dream for a while", I nodded, "I was thinking about that too, and it just proves my theory might actually be true, huh?", Philza nodded, and Techno groaned, "Why do you guys have to leave me out of the important shit?", I let out a fake dramatic gasp, "Oh my god, he cursed! Oh- and it's because your always sleeping"
