《CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHT》

Tommy POV-

"So let me get this straight", I started, "You guys faked your death just so you could become flat out Villains, gain Dream's trust, manipulate him, enhance red venom, then use it to get rid of my disease?", Deo nodded, "Yeah, pretty much", Bitzel said, "We also managed to get Dan on our side", I stiffened for a moment, "Dan?? As in DanTDM??", "well, yeah, after all, he was revoked of his Hero ID and position as a Hero all together- just because he wanted to do the right thing, so why wouldn't he join us? Not to mention Dream's Sister- Drista, has been our spy on the inside", Luke said, my eyes were wide and my heart rate had gradually increased, "You- why?? What was this all for? I get the Hero Corporation is flawed and that Society is unjust-", "Tommy, we did it for you. Of course the Hero Corporation is shit, and society is just fuckin' annoying, and yeah- we have planned to overthrow the Hero corporation, but our main priority has always been to help you", Deo said, and I desperately tried to keep myself from crying again, "I-...fuck", I muttered, wiping away at my eyes, and Deo embraced me once again, "I know you didn't ask us to do this, and i'm sorry it caused you so much pain, but your dying  Tommy, I can't let you- I can't let you go, not so soon, not when I just got you back- when we  just got you back", I sniffled, calming down, "So- you said Drista was your spy on the inside?", I grinned, Boffy, Luke, Bitzel and Deo looked at me with the largest smiles, "Oh, do we have a lot to tell you", Deo grinned wildly, looking down at me. 

Minx POV-

I tried to wipe off the blood that stained my shirt, but only had it stain my fingertips, "Why the fuck did I do that??", I rolled my eyes at myself, making such a stupid attempt at cleaning the blood, before I began slipping my mask off before I entered my apartment, "Heya, Justice!", I rolled my eyes again, "Big Q, shouldn't you be running Las Nevadas??", He smiled at me, "It's actually Gambler, now", I scowled at him, "What? Your Villain  name?", I hissed, He frowned, "Don't get so hostile, nothings changed, except for the difference i'm trying to make, I'm sick of getting pushed around, the least I could have gotten as a Vigilante was support, but there all shit. Justa, they don't care about people like us, or districts like ours, they really couldn't give two shits, your a vigilante and  a Hero, you of all people should understand where i'm coming from. I don't want to be used as some fuckin' doormat anymore, Justa", I turned away, "Yeah? You finally gonna do something about it?", "Hell yeah I am, I even got Flame and Timescape as allies", I looked at him with wide eyes, "What?!", he grinned wildly, "Yeah, sure, we had some disagreements, but we...worked things out, I guess you would say", I shook my head, "You crazy bastard", "Crazy means genius", He retorted playfully.

"Hey? Niki, how are you feeling? Puffy told me you were feeling stressed out", I walked into the room quietly, seeing Niki sat on her bed, in deep thought, her face gradually became angrier with each thought she had carried out in her head, "I'm okay", she muttered, "I'm just- I guess I'm just kinda upset, you know Puffy might be retiring?", my eyes widened, "Holy shit, really? She didn't say anything to me when I called her earlier..", i'm not surprised Puffy didn't tell me. Niki shook her head in disappointment, "I swear it's all because of-", she bit her lip, her eyes painted with a dangerous anger, and I put my hand on her shoulder, "Hey now, it's okay, I get it, I'm kinda pissed too now, Puffy's such a great Hero, do you know why she might be retiring?", Niki nodded, "Yeah- she said she was tired of how unfair and unjust the corporation is, especially the head...and- I agree, it isn't great, I want to do more for people- but..", "But..?", Niki looked at me, scared of the sudden thought that slipped into her brain at that moment, I could see it, I could practically hear it, like an echo almost, it came out of her lips, despite me already hearing it in her head, "What if- what if we retired too?? Me and You and Puffy, we could still be The Archangels- just, in a different way, y'know?", "You mean like Vigilantes?", Niki looked panicked and I reassured her, "I'm not against Vigilantes, I don't think any of the Heroes are, were just sort of painted to look that way, yeah? We have to act like it too, with outsiders, and civilians", Niki nodded in agreement, "Yeah, yeah that's probably right..", "we could be vigilantes, but we'd have to wait a bit after leaving the Hero Corporation", I said, Niki nodded once more, and I frowned slightly, "You want to order something to eat?", I said, changing the subject immediately, "Sure"

I never meant to kill Alyssa. Honestly, I really didn't, but I knew she was going to tell Dream about me being a Vigilante, and I would have been executed just like Connor and Hbomb, she would have ruined everything, but I didn't want to kill her- she's the one who took it too far, she's the one who pushed my limits- drove me mad and uncontrollable. Her voice remaining in the back of my head, "Your the one who got Puffy's brother killed, it's your fault Puffy will never trust you again- you know that when Niki finds out too- she'll leave you just like Quackity is leaving you now- like Hannah, Sam and-"

"SHUT UP!", I punched the wall, leaving another dent in the wall, I heard Niki shuffle, "Everything okay??", She called out, "...Yeah! I just- just got a bit too aggressive with the wall- Austin went ahead and sent me this shitty photo of me from when we first met, and it pissed me off, I didn't mean to punch the wall again!", I forced a laugh, she came and looked at the dent in the wall, "Jeez, Minx, is your hand okay??", I nodded, "Yeah, yeah, it's fine, sorry, I got a bit carried away, i'll get these dents fixed later", She smiled, "Dont worry about it, at least your being a bit more careful, last time, you were literally making holes in the walls", she laughed lightly, I smiled, "yeah- I remember", It wasn't something I was proud of.
