Love Is A Myth

-Love Is A Myth -

To: the love which was just a lie...

Love is the human form of heartbreak.

It is too cruel in reality

But too sugar-coated in tales.

Its beauty is a myth

And its ugliness is a whisper

Unheard by all of us.

It is selfish,

No, it is never selfless.

And the one who makes the sacrifice

Is just ought to die

From the torment inside

And the thorns which poke you from outside.

There is warmth in both

But the end is always cold-

Under the tombstone, they lay

Sometimes with a blanket of scars

Sometimes with a pillow of stars.

The truth untold is clear,

In the end, it's combination

Makes you look at the starry night

And wonder if Van Gogh felt the same chills

You feel looking at it.

The hollowness felt when its myth

Was discovered,

The tears which only the pillows had seen,

The stars which still stay in your sight

But are too far from your reach

And the love which was just a fairytale

With a fake ending of happily ever after.

Never say things like

"They both lived happily ever after."

Love is the human form of heartbreak.

It is too cruel in reality

But too sugar-coated in tales.

Its beauty is a myth

And its ugliness is a whisper

Unheard by all of us.

Say things like this to save people from it

"Love is a myth and that's all that there is to it."
