-I Fell In Love With Her-

To: the one I want to be a guardian of...

Yes, she cries

To sleep every night.

Yes, she cries

Journaling her fears.

Yes, she cries

Surfing the decade-old albums.

Yes, she cries.

I want to tell her it's legal

To show things she keeps hidden.

I want to tell her about her scars

Which made me fall in love

With her at the very first sight,

In that park.

As she sat on the worn-out bench,

Laid her back to the oak tree.

As she hid away

From the bustling of the city,

Sketching all those dreams

On herself and some sheets.

Yes, she tries

To wake up with a smile.

Yes, she tries

To fill pages with happiness.

Yes, she tries

To find the courage to burn her past.

Yes, she tries.

I want to tell her it's legal

To show things she keeps hidden.

I want to tell her it's all right

For her to put herself first,

She doesn't have to be the martyr,

For her to not give in

To those who are greedy for her skin,

For her to scream at those

Who tortured her dreams to death

Before they dared to take their first breath.

I want to tell her the truth

Behind my affection,

That I fell in love with her

Shivering hands, salt inked face.

That I fell in love with her

Voiceful heart, brave brain.

That I fell in love with her

Loud laughter, baggy clothes.

Not those gowns or mask

She wore for the audience.

That I fell in love with her

Poetic spectrum of a gaze,

Of the ways,

She would take the darkness

Directs it to the light.

Of the ways,

She would mould herself

Throughout those rough fights.

I wish I could tell her

How much I fell in love with her flaws.

But now it's too late for me to say

Anything at all.

As a person in armor

I can't dare to leave the boarder

Of her surviving kingdom.

Her picture in my locket is enough

For this lifetime.
