-Canvas In Red-

To: my rainbow...

I saw the canvas

Paint herself in red.

She felt it was the only color

That felt what she felt.

I had the front row to this show

With blue that overflowed.

I wanted to run

Push her hands away

From herself.

I wanted to run

And replace her unicolor palette

With the one with yellow and more.

I wanted to place a mirror

In front of her

To show her, her true masterpiece

That was spoiled now

Thanks to the society's commentary.

As the red told its story

With every hard stroke,

With every dripping tone,

The blue in me raised,

It began to choke,

For all the things I couldn't change.

Repeating the words in mind...

'She deserves better.'

'She deserves colors.'

'She deserves the red of love.'

...I tried to break free

From today's time.
