P2: Chapter 1

Yeji's POV

"Hey, did you tell Dad already about your girlfriend?" he just shook his head still focused on the papers he's working on. I'm inside my brother's office since i have nothing else to do. I just watch him sign all the papers while also playing on my phone.

"Can you finish those later? I'm so hungry." i said pouting at him. He rolled his eyes.

"Why won't you eat with your friends?"

"They're all busy,"

"So I'm the last option--"

"Yeah," i chuckled to annoy him more. He put down his pen and stood up, putting on his coat. He gave reminders to his secretary before we walked to the elevator.

"Noona is gonna be back soon. Have you guys talked already?"

"No. Not really, but I'm replying to her messages."

It's been almost 3 years since i had that fight with Seulgi unnie. I talked to her after months when i started losing hope on Ryujin's return. I haven't heard from her ever since. Though i already deleted her number, I'm still not giving up the chance of meeting her again. It's just, I've stopped hoping for us to happen. But no matter how hard i try meeting new people, i still end up losing interest. I think I'd be single for the rest of my life. I hope not.

"What do you want to eat?"

My brother asked me while we're walking along the street. There are lots of restaurants to choose from. I told him I'm craving for steak so we stopped for the unlimited one. The waiter got our orders and we're just waiting for them.

We graduated a year ago. Hyunjin immediately worked at our company since my dad said so. I work in Lia's restaurant as part-time. I just finished my course so i could have part in our company but I'm glad they let me do what i want. They say they'll just call me when I'm needed there.

I kinda feel bad for Hyunjin because he's the heir but i feel that he likes what he's doing. The only thing he's worried is about his relationship for dad may not approve.

"You're going to the beach?"

"This weekend."

"Mmhm, i wish i could go."

"It's okay bro, we'll just video call you." i said hitting his arm lightly.

We're walking back towards the building. He let me borrow his coat since I'm wearing a sleeveless top and i felt cold outside.

"Are you just going to stay here the whole day?"

I raised my eyebrows as my response. He can't do anything about it. Plus i really have nothing to do till the weekend's event. I'll just go and nap here. I turned on my phone to check my notifications. I've been trying to find her account but nothing comes up. I even stalked Seulgi unnie to see but i guess they're not in touch anymore.

I smiled upon remembering her face. We didn't have a single picture together.

It's already 4pm when i decided to go home. I gave my brother a flying kiss before leaving but he just rolled his eyes on me. I got in my car after minutes of walking. I decided to stop for bread for my dinner tonight. I still live in my house but a lot has changed since then. Well, Chaeryeong insisted as she is now an interior designer.

"She's home after 12345 years!" i was surprised to see Aeri and the others in front of my gate. I opened the gate and parked my car inside.

"Surprise!" they all yelled but i kept crossing my arms.

"Aw, are you bored the whole day?" Aeri teased.

"We decided to prank you to all say no if you ask," she added as they started laughing.

"I'll take this," i said getting the pizza they brought. "You can go home now," they're all acting shocked. We all laughed afterwards. I love them.

We were all chatting while Chaeryeong grills the meat. They even brought a beef set for tonight. Everyone is excited for this weekend's party at the beach. Lia is telling me what we'll wear on the evening.

I looked at Winter and Karina's direction. They're on the swing and Winter is braiding Karina's hair. I can't help but to feel envious with what they have. But I also feel sad because they've been dating for years but Karina's family still doesn't know it.

"Let's do karaoke and sing break up songs,"

"Why? Are you broken?"

"No! Excuse me, me???? Broken?" she says sarcastically while acting all bitchy.

"We haven't tried singing those kind of songs you know,"

"Fine, but you sing two songs." she rolled her eyes.

"Are we all gonna be there?" She asks them getting their attention.

"Yeah, I'm free that day."

"Me too."

"How about you guys?!" i shouted at the love birds and they just gave me a thumbs up. Grr didn't wanna be disturbed.

"I have too many memories in that beach," Aeri said letting out a deep breath.

They all started talking about it and i just listened. I don't have those kind of memories, especially in that place.

Ryujin's POV

"So you're really going back?"

"Yeah, and you know it's just not because i want to." i heard her sigh.

"Don't worry, I'm not going for..Yeji. I'll see you soon." It's been so long since I've said her name.

"Tell Somi i said hi."

"I will. Bye,"

I ended the call and glanced at her sitting on her bed. It's been two months since she woke up from her coma. She's still a bit weak recovering from her injuries. 

"Good morning, baby." i gave her a faint smile upon hearing that.

"Good morning," i responded as i leaned to kiss her forehead.

"We're going home tomorrow, are you excited?"

She shook her head.

"What's wrong?" i worriedly asked but she just stared at me.

She held my hand and gave it a soft kiss. "I love you." she sweetly said looking directly at my eyes. I cupped her face before speaking,

"I love you too."
