P2: Chapter 4

Yeji's POV

"Ya! Hwang Yeji!"

I don't have the energy to talk to her. I told her to go but she insisted staying. She's scolding me and cleaning up the kitchen. She grabbed my arm on to her shoulders to let me sit down properly on the sofa.

"Come on now, dude."

"Why are you still here? How about Winter?" she hit me.

"That's it." she said as she went to my wardrobe. She stayed there for a bit long, choosing outfits for I don't know where. She came back looking pissed. She pulled my sweater upward but i stopped her. I gave her a confused look.

"Karina, what the hell?"

"You need to go out. Ughhhh, I'm begging you." she then let out a sigh.

"Just leave me here,"

"And what? You'll wait for Ryujin to come?" i gave her a glare.

"I'll go out tomorrow!"

"That's been your only chat in our gc for 5 days now..."

"I've heard that lie too many times now!"

"Give me my phone." she rolled her eyes at me but she obeyed. I dialed Winter's number.

"Minjeongie, pick up your girlfriend here. She's giving me a hard time!"

"No, you are giving me a hard time!" she shouts as she try to steal my phone away.

And again, Karina hit me but harder this time. Winter chuckled a bit but she also scold me afterwards. Unfair!

"Take a bath now, we'll go to the mall." i ignored her.

She started pulling my sweater and pajamas again and spoke, "I swear I'll give you a bath and even wash your flower--" with that, i hit her back.

Ugh, she won't give up.

Karina ended up winning and bringing me to the mall. Winter wanted to come but Karina said it's not a good time for me to be a 3rd wheel. Well, yeaaahh... We're on our way to the spa. I agreed because it's been a while and it's her treat.

"I love you, see you later." she said giggling on her phone.

"Uuughhhh,"

She stuck out her tongue as her response. Now she's being mean. Wait, she has been mean to me since earlier.

After we finished in there, we decided to shop for clothes. Still her treat. So why would i say no?. We've already spent three hours going around the mall so we decided to go home. Winter already called her also since they now have plans for tonight.

I can't believe this day went well. We took pictures of each other, then together in front of the fountain outside the mall. I told her I'll walk with her till their meeting spot then I'll just take the bus. While walking, we passed by a cafe grand opening. It really looks good, all modern outside but vintage inside.

"Good afternoon ladies," one of the employees greeted us.

"We invite you to be one of our first customers. We got discounts and--" she explained us everything. We both looked at each other, deciding. We ended up entering the cafe as she called Winter that she'll be a little late.

"They also sell boba~" Karina whispers pointing on the menu in front. I think I'm in the mood for tea today.

The inside is really cozy, there's a corner where you just sit on the floor with plushies around you and a small table on the middle. A freedom wall is also available, but yes still empty by now. I smiled as soon as i smelled the coffee. We just sat at one of the tables by the window. One of them took our orders right away. While waiting, we managed to take pretty pictures of us.

"How are you feeling?"

"Hmm better?" we both chuckled. I really am feeling slightly better.

"Thank you, Karina." i said leaning towards her to give her a kiss but she pushed me away.

"Just on the cheeks!"

"No!"

Our orders arrived and we tasted it right away. We told them it's good. I ordered their blacktea with cream cheese while Karina ordered the Oreo one. Few people also started to arrive at the place. We're definitely going back here. Together with the girls next time.

"How is everything?" that voice. Both of us glanced at the counter. She's standing there with a huge smile on her face. Her whiskers.

"She's--" I'm about to stand up but Karina stopped me. The next thing happened made me sit down feeling all weak as i felt Karina's grip on my arm tightened.

A tall blonde girl arrived and kissed her on the lips. Ryujin wrapped her arms around her waist while cheering up her employees. They both went to the back smiling at each other.

Apparently, she's the owner. And she has a girlfriend. A beautiful one. They look good together. They look happy...

"Let's get out of here," Karina insisted grabbing me out of the place.

We heard some of the staff calling us but we just continued walking. My legs are feeling a little weak and tears started building up. And i thought my day is going so well.

"Hey," Karina is also a bit teary with all that. I shrugged my shoulders stopping myself from crying.

"Let's go, Winter's waiting."

She is hesitant even though i kept telling her it's okay. Karina told Winter about what happened so she wanted to cancel their plan but i refused. I shouldn't be a bother to them. They didn't let me take the bus and offered me a ride home. The heaviness in my chest is coming back. Their faces kept flashing on my mind.

I got back to my senses after feeling a drop on my arm realizing my lower lip is bleeding. Karina noticed it and immediately gave me a handkerchief. I guess i bit my lip too hard trying to brush off my thoughts. I hate it so much.

"Please, don't do anything stupid. Call me okay?"

I just nodded at her. She leaned closer for a hug. I didn't want to let go but i know i have to. I gave them a faint smile as i watched them leave.

When will the pain go away?
