P2: Chapter 9

Yeji's POV

Unknown Number

Hey, this is Ryujin. Can we talk?

Please, Yeji.

I'll wait for you tomorrow night at Rosé.

I can't help but to doubt Ryujin after hearing unnie's side and the fact that she got back together with Somi. But i also want to meet her for my peace of mind and to just end everything for the best. I fought myself hesitating to call the number as i kept walking back and forth in my room.

'Please, don't answer.' Why the hell are you calling her then? Ugh i hate me so much. I was about to cancel it but it was too late.

"Hello?"

I bit my lip. Talk.

"Yeji?"

Silence. I heard her sigh on the line. "I'll wait for you there. Get some rest, good night."

She dropped the call and I was left standing with the phone on my ear still anxious. Hyunjin entered the room looking pissed.

"Go see her tomorrow." my eyes widened not believing he just said that. I wanted to explain about the call but he started talking again.

"I understand noona's side even I, don't trust her fully of course...as your brother i need to check if they're worthy enough to date my sisters," he paused and chuckled.

"But, i also believe in Ryujin. Those few times we talked i know that she's a great girl." he said with a huge smile on his face. I can't help but to get teary again. He pulled me for a hug tapping my head gently. "Sleep first. I'll take you there tomorrow."

"Thank you, Hyunjin."

"We should just go back,"

"Are you sure?"

I feel my heart beating faster as we go closer and closer to the bar.

"Ugh...make up your mind,"

He got more pissed when i didn't respond and just looked down. He stopped in front of the bar. "Go." I didn't move so he tried removing my seatbelt but i stopped him to do it myself.

"Fighting!" he said smiling showing me his fist. "Just call me." with that, he drove away. It's already nighttime and it's a little cold outside. I walked inside the bar to find Ryujin. I saw her at the farthest side of the counter looking outside the window. I felt my hands getting colder while walking towards her. Surprise was seen on her face the moment she saw me. She just watched me sat down beside her.

The bartender poured us some drinks. Apparently, he and Ryujin are friends and she even introduced me to him. I don't know but he looked so familiar.

"You--" i kept snapping my fingers trying to remember where did i last saw him.

"At the beach! You're the singer!" i exclaimed hitting the counter loud. I got embarrassed with what i did so i shrink myself down. He laughed, "Yeah. Ight imma go over there now~"

"Why did you want to see me?"

She drank the alcohol in one go before speaking, "I'm sorry for leaving you that night..."

"I already told you--" i didn't get to finish as she put her finger on my lips.

"A lot happened that night and I was out of my mind. I didn't plan to leave the country...but then Somi's mom called me about the accident. She told me to stay till she recovers so i did of course also worrying about her condition, but the thought of being away from each other would help us both...that's fucking stupid." She scoffed. She's trying so hard not to cry. "Aaaaaaah,"

She called Felix for another drink and immediately drank it all making him pour another one. I told him to stop after Ryujin has taken three already. Ryujin was being stubborn but she stopped when i held her hand. 

"We broke up already, her memories returned and she knew about us..."

I didn't know how to react to that statement. She stared at me with tears streaming down her face. I'm so confused.

"Because of me...no, I don't want to hurt her Ryujin, this isn't right."

I turned my back to walk away. A tear rolled down my eye as i felt her arms around me. I tried letting go but she was stronger than me.

"No, it's not like that. Just please listen to me."

"We ended it because we're not supposed to be together in the first place. 'Us' already ended 6 years ago and we both knew it's not there anymore..." her voice broke in between due to crying.

"Don't fucking lie to me, Ryujin."

"I would never."

Hearing that made me break down feeling weak on my knees. She held me tighter. She held my arm and the next thing i knew, we're inside her car. I'm frozen on my seat and watched her wait for Somi to answer the phone. She put it on loud speaker.

"Hello?"

"Somi...help me,"

"What is it? What happened?"

"Yeji won't believe me..." she said while sniffling in between glancing towards my direction. I looked away.

"Let me talk to her."

"I'm sorry," i said before she could start talking again. As much as i want Ryujin back, i don't want to be selfish.

"No heyyy, i should be the one telling you that!"

I gave Ryujin a confused look but she just remained staring waiting for Somi to continue.

"Yeji look, I don't love her anymore okay? And I'm telling you the truth. We both had our own intentions why we stayed in the relationship and it wasn't love...I'm sorry for taking away your happiness, I know it was so hard to be left alone like that. You don't deserve it Yeji-ya."  i covered my mouth stopping myself from sobbing louder after hearing all the things she said.

"Shin Ryujin?" i heard her chuckle. "She's crazy for you i swear, so please trust her."

"You two better stop crying now."  We heard her laugh upon hearing Ryujin's voice crack as she tried to say 'thank you'. "Bring Yeji here okay?!"

The call ended. I'm still trying to absorb everything i heard. Ryujin turned off her phone as she wipes her face. She's taking deep breaths with her hands on the steering wheel with our eyes locked on each other. The next thing i knew, i leaned forward letting my lips touch hers. 'I missed her so much.' I still couldn't stop crying making her pull away to wipe my face resting her forehead on mine. 

"I love you." she kissed my nose then my forehead and stared at me. I can't help but to giggle hearing her raspy voice from too much crying.

"I love you, Shin Ryujin."

She inclined her face claiming my lips once again.

Aaaaaa we're so close to the ending?? omg. (well...there's still sm left mwahahaha)
