"It's not a big deal Skye! We don't have anything huge planned. She's not being left out or anything!" Ashton jumps in trying to console me.
I'm not angry, but I'm annoyed. Whatever they have planned is probably going to be a really sweet gesture, but Charlotte should be involved. It won't be the same without my other best friend. Plus, Calum should meet her; they'd be perfect for each other.
"Just let me call her," I say in response.
They all mumble an okay, and I dial her number. The other end rings, but she doesn't pick up. It goes to voicemail. Twice. Disappointed, I put my phone back in my purse and turn to the boys.
"Okay. Let's just do whatever you have planned."
"Well," Luke starts, "there isn't much. But first, we're going to Ben & Jerry's!"
Ugh, these boys really know the way to my heart. We file out of the house and into Luke's car. They let me sit up front instead of being crammed in the middle since I pulled the 'it's my birthday' card.
The ride into the harbour area is filled with chatter and excitement. This is by far my best birthday yet, and it's only eleven in the morning. The boys may have messed up in including Charlotte, but I can just get together with her after work one day this week.
We're finally at Ben & Jerry's and, shockingly, I order a cup of half baked. As each person orders, we all judge them on their choice. My ice cream is gone much too soon, so I steal some of Michael's. I lean my head on his shoulder as we all sit and enjoy our early day snack. This is nice.
"Okay, I've decided that I'll be the first to say it. This whole new PDA thing is, like, weird. Didn't you two hate each other like two days ago?" Ashton says.
"Don't even try to act like you weren't rooting for us the whole time," I counter.
"Yeah! Team Mye! Mye AF!" Calum shouts, earning glares from the workers behind the counter.
"Alright," I laugh, "let's get going. Where next?"
"Surprise," they conclude in unison.
Of course.

Although they won't tell me where we're going, I have a feeling I know where it is. When we pull up to our destination and park, my suspicions prove to be true. We're at the park.
As we walk into the entrance, Michael finds my hand and entwines our fingers. I give him a look that says we better not be playing the penis game again.
"No promises," he whispers into my ear.
I shake my head as I smile, excited for whatever is about to happen. The five of us all stop walking in the exact same spot where Michael and I sat just weeks ago. Everyone is quiet as I look at each of them expectantly.
"Alright, we are going to have a scavenger hunt. We have two teams: Skake," the brunette boy chuckles. "Sorry, that sounds like skank. And, uh, Mashton. The lists were created and approved by an anonymous source who will remain anonymous for their safety. Here are the envelopes. Let's begin."
Calum, Luke, and I walk away with our envelope, opening it immediately. The fact that they planned out a scavenger hunt for me has me beyond happy, and words can't describe how ecstatic I am. I peek over at Michael and Ashton who seem perplexed by their list.
"Cal."
"Yeah?"
"Do we have the same list as them?"
"I think so. Why?"
"Let me see it."
I want to see what's making them so mystified.
