Michael POV

"Bro, does she still have you blocked?" I hear Calum ask Luke as they sit together on my sofa.

I haven't been out of their sight since that night. They refuse to leave me alone, out of fear that I'll do something stupid. I'm currently pacing in the kitchen, not sure what to do with myself. It seems that this has become a regular activity of mine; my mind doesn't quite want to stop racing. Thoughts, ideas, and plans to get her back are constantly popping into my head, only to be shot down by Luke, Calum, and Ashton.

"Yeah... and Ashton, too. What about you?" Luke replies in a dejected tone, already knowing the answer.

Staring at the wall, he answers, "none of my texts or calls go through, so I'm going to guess that I'm still blocked... Hey Mi--"

Their voices turn to murmurs, Calum's question cut off. I look down at my phone, wishing she'd just let me call and explain. I could've fixed things if she had just let me. She didn't have to run off like this.

I haven't checked her Twitter or tried to contact her since the day Charlotte told me that Skye had gone back home. She wanted space; flying halfway across the world made that very clear.

Even though she isn't speaking to any of us, we made sure that her rent was paid, in hopes that she actually was planning on coming home.

My screen lights up and begins to vibrate. With what little hope is left, I glance at the screen, only to find Ashton's name. I pick up the phone and answer, "hello?"

"Are you all at your apartment still?" He asks urgently.

"Um, yeah. Why?"

"I have an idea."

He immediately hangs up, leaving me in suspense. In all honestly, I've been in a state of suspense for the past month. I refuse to believe that she isn't coming back. All I can do is wait for her to get on a plane to Sydney, and try to fix things when she gets back.

I just can't believe that we didn't get to spend Christmas or New Year's together. My mum and dad were disappointed when she didn't show up at their house with me on the twenty-fifth. It's now the first of the year and I want nothing more than to just disappear.

Her Christmas present that Charlotte had dropped off last month still sits on my counter, unopened. She'd bought it just before she left, according to her best friend. Every part of me hopes that she hasn't given up on me; on us.

Suddenly, Ashton bursts through the door, a determined look on his face. All eyes are on him.

"Have any of you checked her Twitter recently?" He presses.

We all shake our heads no. The usually smiling boy had a serious expression as he pulls up her profile. I feel my breath catch when I see that she's changed her twitpic to something other than a picture of us.

"Okay, cool! Was your mission to make me feel worse about all of this?!" I explode.

"Mikey, chill. Do you realize who those two are?" He asks with a patient tone.

Calum and Luke walk up, all four of us now crowding around Ashton's iPhone.

"That's her brother. I know that," Luke points out.

"So that's gotta be her sister that she's talked about," Calum adds.

We all look to Ashton, waiting for him to explain the purpose of all of this.

"Now look," he says as he scrolls through Skye's favourites.

In the list that shows she's much more active on Twitter then she likes to pretend, there's a tweet from someone with the same last name as her.
