Always and forever. Such a simple promise. Said by 5 Originals.

I could appreciate if it hadn't been ringing in my ear for the past week. Not even the proposal – which finally happened – could take my mind off it. Nor the fact that Jenna immediately announced that she wanted me as her maid of honour.

Only a single text stopped my entire world in motion.

Be here by Friday – Elijah

The journey back home was riddled with visions from the past and present. Most of the present were of Bonnie and a coffin. A coffin I knew all to well. So, I called her.

"Bonnie Bennett I need your help."

"Well, hello to you to." She mumbles.

"Shit sorry did I wake you?"

"Its fine. What do you need? You usually call at 10 in the morning."

"I know about the coffin." The line goes silent. "Come on Bonnie, you know you can't hide anything from me."

"Okay yes I have the coffin. Its the only weapon we have to kill Klaus." The name I knew with such familiarity now. Its all Bonnie talks about lately. I pinch the bridge of my nose, feeling a headache coming on. "It's not what you think it is. And the only person you going to hurt is me. I need you to not open it. Please."

"What about Elena –"

Pulling the phone from my face so I don't need to hear the end of that sentence. Tired of hearing her name already. "She'll be fine. I need you to trust me. I'll explain everything when I get home."

Again, the line goes silent. Then there's rustling of sheets. "When?" the witch asks. "I'm Im landing in 2 hours then I'm going to stay at a house out of town. I'll text you the address." Ending the call before she can ask why I won't stay at the house I grew up in.

It's Thursday, so I'm a day early. Which I think is a good thing because the visions get worse the closer, I am to home. My theory is that something close to home is triggering them.

And boy do I wish I was wrong.

Because once I'm settled. The visions flood my brain and this time I don't think they'll stop until everything as been offloaded.

"Father will not like this."

"Ivy you're needed for a potion."

"This is Ivy."

"Well love, I see you've met Tatia."

"Ahh on your way to Astrid?"

All these visions, blurring my sense of all. Coming all at once. Teaching my heritage. Even my death.

But its the vision – no memories after my death that send the most pain throughout my body. Having to live through a thousand years of being on the other side can take its toll on the body. Evidently, I can hear Bonnies screams, can feel her tears on my face.

Just like in sleeping beauty, a simple kiss awakens me.
