After an hour I came back and knocked on Mrs. Hans office. Soon I opened the door and saw her sleeping on her chair with the cake half-eaten on her table. Guess that sleeping powder is really effective. I just smirked and claps my hands just to check if she is really sleeping. She still continued sleeping even if I made some noise. Soon I searched for her phone quietly. I sit on the guest chair as I took her finger and pressed her thumbs on the unlock button. I went to the SMS app and searched randomly from her contacts.
To Mr. Ferrow
Hi, I just wanted to confess something that I couldn't bear any more. . . I really like you.
I pressed the sent button and quickly deleted it. I smirked and returned her phone to her jacket as I quietly leaves her room.
The next morning gossips started circulating.
" Did you hear about Mrs. Hans? She is having a relationship with Mr. Ferrow! "
" What?! But they're both are married!"
" Yes. This morning they heard a conflict at Mrs. Hans office. She is arguing with Mr. Ferrows Wife. "
" Oh my gash. But Mrs. Hans is the kindest teacher here. How could she do that? "
I just continued walking as I heard every student I passed talking about it. It's so funny how a single text can ruin a person's life. Just as I am about to enter my classroom my phone starts vibrating. I took it out of my pocket and saw Zach's name. I answered the call.
" Meet me at the rooftop. NOW. "
He demanded with a really serious yet very cold tone. The call quickly ended. Every time I do my plans. . . I always needed to face him. The unusual part was that I am always feeling guilty after talking to him. I release a long sigh before I open the rooftop door. I looked down on the floor since I didn't want to see his face.
" Tell me my punishment. I'll gladly do it without complaints. "
I just said still looking on the floor.
" When you were on the clinic. Was that just part of your plan to come closer to Mrs. Hans and destroy her life and career? "
He asked disappointed looking at me with eyes begging to answer no.
I just sighed and honestly answered " Yes. "
" I don't get your point. Why are you doing this? Why are you destroying an innocent person who has done nothing to you? "
I can feel how he's trying to say it calmly even though he's so much disappointed and angry at me.
" But they're not even a bit innocent. "
I just answered while scenes from the past remind me.
" Not even a tiny bit innocent. "
I continued as I clenched my teeth out of anger.
" . . . answer me. . . are you happy? Are you feeling any guilt at all? "
He asked calmly but this time I find the courage to face him.
" I don't know. Tell me? Do I look happy?. . . cause I'm getting tired too you know. "
I said with teary eyes.
" If you're tired. Then quit it already. "
He just said as he put his hands on both sides of my shoulder.
" I'll help you. "
He continued. I just moved backward.
" I can't. . . I'm sorry. "
I said as I start running away. . . I want to stop but I really can't. I stopped on the last step and took a deep breath while fanning my eyes using my hand trying not to cry as that is what I had promised myself.
