" Ummm actually I. . . "
I was about to confess but when I turned around I saw Aira sleeping deeply.
" Sleep tight. . . Aira. "
I just said and leaves.
I went into the teacher's lounge and search for Mr. Kai
" You called me about the upcoming competition? . . . Don't worry I'm studying day and night with no rest for this. . . "
I said in assurance to my subject coach Mr. Kai but he just cuts me.
" They are entering someone else in this competition. I just think you're not ready for this type of competition plus I think she'll do better than you. You know what I mean"
He suddenly said as he took a sip from his coffee. That hurts. . . did I do something?
" Oh . . . O-kay "
I just said as I don't want to argue about it. Deep in me. . . I really wanna join the competition but I don't wanna be stubborn to my teachers. They entered Lara instead. Soon I find out that she bribed Mr. Kai and even cheated on the competition without getting caught. . . but I didn't say anything and kept everything in me.
I stared at the whole hospital wondering if I'm gonna tell Aerial or not but as soon as I entered. Her smile behind those pains weakens me. I can't tell her. . . I don't want to make her worry.
One day at school after the dismissal some of my classmates approached me.
" Hey, Hanna! Can you teach us this? "
" Yah. The exam is tomorrow and we didn't understand anything. Mrs. Hans says. "
" Yah. Our old teacher is much way better than her even you are much better. "
" But Mrs. Hans is trying her best too. Let's just give her a chance. "
I said taking sides at Mrs. Hans.
" Hanna. You are way too nice so are you gonna tutor us? "
" Of course. I couldn't let my classmates down. "
I just said as I start opening my notebook again as they came closer to me but I didn't know that Mrs. Hans heard it all and was jealous of me.
. . .
" Sorry Ashlyn but tomorrow is the exam. I can't fail it. I need Hanna. "
" You can't do this Diane! You promised me that we'll go to the karaoke today!. "
" Sorry, Ashlyn. Let's just move our plan. I promise I'll make it up to you"
" No way! Gahhh I hate you and that Hanna too! "
. . .
That day. I lost my phone and started searching for it in the classroom but still couldn't find it the exam is much more important so I just gave up and go home.
Little didn't I know that. . . On a dark room full of papers there's a teacher grinning as she text someone using my lost phone.
I went inside and find the odd gazes of my classmates but they just smiles at me. I just didn't mind them and took a sit.
The next day I was surprised that most of them got perfect scores and are constantly thanking me. Sooner. . . I found out why.
' What's Happening. '
My homeroom teacher Mrs. Hans suddenly asked me out of the classroom.
" Yes ma'am, is there anything wrong? "
I just asked nervously as I know something bad is bound to happen.
" The principal wanted to talk to you."
Mrs. Hans said in a very fake worried face.
I went to the Principal's Office and faced the principal. After that, he talks about how ashamed I should be for making cheat codes for my classmates by sending them a text message.
" I didn't do that! I don't even have my phone! I lost it yesterday. I swear! "
I exclaimed the truth with teary eyes because of such accusations.
" So are you telling me your teacher is lying? . . . fine let's find out. "
The principal said and called my number then a ring came coming from my bag. I opened it and was so shocked. It wasn't here before. . . it wasn't . . . really.
" See, who's lying now. "
He just said with such a disappointed face.
" But I didn't really. . . "
I still say almost crying.
" Enough! You are suspended for a week. Your lucky I won't kick you out. "
He just said as he pointed the door for me to get out. That incident change how others saw me.
My classmates constantly pushed me into the wall.
" Thanks to you we are now called the cheating room! "
" Yah. A lot of us got grounded by our parents because of you! "
They started blaming me.
" Believe me I didn't . . . "
I said trying to explain but...
" Liar! You're the one at fault! "
They exclaimed agreed by another and another and another.
I felt so depressed that day but I never blamed anyone. The following days came even worse. I wasn't able to join competitions anymore. A false rumor has been circulated about me and now my teachers and classmates hate me. Everyone hates me.
I can't take it anymore so I went to the school's Psychiatrist to consult about it. Hoping I'll be better.
" I - I don't know what to do. . . please. What am I going to do for them to believe me. "
I asked desperately.
" Well. . . to tell you the truth. Your problem cannot be resolved. "
He just said which made my hopes crash even more.
" What do you mean? There's gotta be some way. "
I exclaimed with teary eyes.
" Your right there is one way. . . why don't you just. . . kill yourself?"
He said in a serious tone.
" P-pardon? "
I asked hoping I just heard it wrong but
" I said. Kill-your-self "
He repeated. That day I felt that I have totally fallen into the void, all of my hopes are gone.
I went to the hospital after that but before I entered Aira's room I put on a smile and make myself as lively as I could talk to her and filled her ear with sweet words about school. I waved goodbye at her window from outside as I am going home I show her my old smile. She looks so happy but as soon as I turned and walk I can't help but frown and cry.
'90 percent of the students enjoy and have a great time at school but those 10 percent doesn't. . . I'm just unlucky that I belonged to that 10 percent. I don't want to crush the dreams you formed with me. . . I'm sorry Aira but it's better this way.'
