We didn't talk much after the incident that but he still keeps an eye on me. When dismissal came I went out only to see him waiting for me. The other day he asked me to join three clubs so that I could be busy.

I went near him and waited for the others to go past by before we talked.

" So what's the favor? "

I boringly asked.

" Clean all the comfort room of the school. "

He said in a demanding tone.

" But that's a job for the janitors plus I always get home late because of the club activities. . ."

I complain but he just cut me.

" No complaints. Remember? "

He directly said and walks out. Those favors are more like a punishment now. I didn't know he has this side of him but I don't blame him. It's my fault anyway.

As I am mopping the tiles of the comfort room on sunset. The principal passed by which looks like he's going home already.

" Are you punished or something? I constantly see you mopping all the comfort rooms of this school. "

He asked.

" No Sir. I volunteered. "

I lied smiling

" But no students seem to think of volunteering to clean all the school's CR. "

He said logically

" Cause I'm different. "

I just said and tiringly smiled.

" O-kay, suit your self. . . kids nowadays. "

He just whispered as he walks to the gate. After all the work I sat on the stairs while wiping my sweat. It's already past 6 when I check my watch. I smelled my clothes and was disgusted.

" Gahhh I stink. "

The next day the only thing I wished is not to see Zach and hear his declaration of punishments to me.

The dismissal came and I crossed my finger as I open the door but it still didn't work out since I saw him leaning on the wall patiently waiting for me.

" Hey. We can just meet on the rooftop or you can just text your favors. My classmates are thinking that we're dating or something. "

I said in disgust.

" So what favor slash punishment are you going to ask me now? "

I continued asking.

" I heard a student consulting to the school's psychiatrist. She seems stressed. "

He said looking at me with those blank yet judging eyes.

" And what does that concern me?"

I rolled my eyes and said

" Well that student is Diane, she seems stressed now that her friend is gone. . . and it's your fault. "

He said with a tone that's making me guilty but I am not affected.

" Whatever. You can't ask me to return my schemes. It's on our contract. "

I just said irritated.

" I didn't forget that. I'll ask a different favor. "

He said

" Spill it out. "

I said not expecting anything cause I know it'll be one of his punishments to me again.

" Correct your mistakes. At least say to Ashlyn you're the one at fault for the gossips. This way it'll soothe everything. "

He said calmly and demandingly.

" She already transferred. "

I said.

" She will come back later to return her books. . . wait for her then explain everything. . . "

I just nodded since I know I can't complain as the contract says and looks like he's serious in fixing those good-for-nothing best friends.

I was about to walk away when he says something.

" I know you don't have friends but that doesn't mean you can destroy a friendship just for your schemes."

He says that made me angry so I stopped but I didn't look back.

" I once had a friend Zach. . . and she means everything to me. "

I just said and soon left him. I waited for Ashlyn in front of her ex homeroom teacher's office. As soon as she went out I approached her.

" Hey! Ashlyn. Can we talk? "

I asked that made her stop.

" And who are you? "

She just asked.

" It doesn't matter but I am the one who circulated that gossip about you. "

I said directly that made her shocked.

" But why?! What did I ever do to you?! "

She overreacted furiously.

" You felt angry and depressed right? "

I just asked.

" Yes! Who wouldn't?! I blamed my friend and my reputation is ruined!"

She said furiously yet sad since she blamed the wrong person.

" Well then now. Do you know how it feels? "

I said and grinned at her.

" Two years ago. You circulated a rumor about someone. The rumor was even much worse than what I said. . . Do you remember?"

I asked with full anger but with a calm tone.

"What are you talking about? "

She asked trying to remember everything.

" You know exactly what I am talking about. . . and Diane your friend. She's too good for you. You don't deserve her. "

I said and left her dumbfounded. I tried my best not to cry but I couldn't. Just as I turned the hallway tears started falling and Zach happens to walk that way so he saw me but I completely ignore him and wiped my tears.
