39. OPERATION ?

'Haa.. Tho papers ready rakho..' She says and cuts the call.

'Akshay.. I just hope ki mai tumse ek baar operation se pehle mil saku..' She says and then turns back and see me.

'Op.. Operation..? Kiski operation Purvi..?' I asked.

'Vo..' She hesitated but then she said, ' bachcha... Mera matlab hai ki meri ek friend ka operation hone wala hai.. Vo pregnant hai na..'

I saw her fingers trembling a bit and she was having a fake smile on her face.

'Mai tumhe drop kar deta hu..' I said casually.

'Nahi.. Vo hospital bahut dur hai..' She replied.

'Koi baat nahi.. Aaj bureau se mera chutti hai..' I said.

'Maine kaha na hospital bahut dur hai.. Aur vaise bhi mai bus se jaa rahi hu..' She said and went downstairs followed by me.

She left while I followed her by my car, a bit far from her. I saw her stopping at Akshay's house. She got down from the auto and then she went inside. I also went inside without making any noise.

I saw that Akshay was standing making a fist. May be he was controlling his anger. He then left from the other gate. She followed him while I followed her. We both kept following until night.

At night, Akshay was drinking alcohol at a bar. Purvi sighed and went inside.

'Purvi ko tho sharab ke naam se bhi nafrat hai tho phir vo Akshay ke peeche kyun jaa rahi hai..?' I thought and went inside.

I went to the other corner and kept a glance on them. I saw Purvi sitting at a distance and glancing Akshay. After sometime, Akshay came outside and then he sat in Purvi's car by mistake. He fell unconscious. Purvi drove to a deserted area.

'Stupid.. Bahut bade stupid ho tum..' Purvi said after she get down from the car and sat on its bonnet.

'Akshay mai apne zameen ko tut the hue kaise dekhu..?' She said being angry.

'Zameen..? Akshay Purvi ka zameen hai..' I said to myself as it broke my heart.

After all how can I listen my love saying someone else is her support, her priority..?

'Agar Akshay tumhara zameen hai tho mai tumhara kya hu..?' I asked her but she couldn't listen to me because she didn't hear me.

Akshay got down from the car and she being angry turned back suddenly.

'Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho..?' He asked trying his best to stand in a straight position.

'Tumse milne aayi..' Purvi said avoiding his gaze.

'Kyun milna hai..?' Akshay asked.

'Kuch kehna tha.. Par tum hosh mei nahi ho..' She replies.

'Chale jao..' Akshay says in angry tone.

'Maine sab sun liya..' She says while Akshay turns back.

'Tho mere paas kyun aayi ho..?' Akshay asks.

'Chahe koi bhi cheez ho vo jab tute tho zameen pe aake hi girta hai..' Purvi replies.

'Par tum zameen par gir kar tutna kyun chahti ho..? Akshay asks in a raucous tone.

'Kaha na.. Koi bhi cheez jab tute tab vo zameen par hi girta hai chahe uska tutne ki wajah khud zameen kyun na ho..' Purvi replies.

'Mujhe akele chod do..' Akshay says and turns his back.

'Pillar ko khade rehne ke liye zameen ki zaroorat hai.. Agar vo zameen hi tut jaaye tho pillar ka kya hoga..?' She asks.

'Pillar zameen ke beecho beech phas jaayega..' Akshay replied.

'Exactly..' She says.

Akshay hugs Purvi tightly while she pats him. Just then, a down pour starts. Since I was standing behind a wall, I got completely drenched. Akshay and Purvi sat in the car.

'Kis baat ko lekar upset ho Kavin..? Tum yahi tho chahte the na tho phir ab kis baat ko lekar upset ho..? Dekho Purvi kitni khush hai Akshay ke saath.. Vo tere paas thi ek waqt par tum use vo khushiyan de hi nahi paaye..' I said to myself.

I was so heartbroken and drenched in that rain that I just came back in my car and sat there. I went back to our house and went inside her room. I got cold but then I took a hot shower.

The hot water burnt my skin while I finally allowed my tears to flow down my eyes. I finally decided that I should return back along with Pihu. I came outside and wore my clothes.

I started packing mine and Pihu's suitcase along. Pihu came and she saw me packing, so she ran downstairs quickly. I went down with the suitcase and then I saw everyone looking at me.

'Pihu kaha hai..?' I asked.

'Vo guest house..' Shreya said..

I went to the guest house and I asked Pihu to come out but she refused and hid herself behind Purvi.

'Pihu bahar aao.. Mujhe gussa mat dilao..' I said in a raucous tone.
