-MINGI
I danced around my apartment to Christmas music as I baked all the gifted I was giving out. The lights around my living room twinkled and the star above my carefully decorated tree flickered like it was supposed to. I looked out the window to see snow falling heavily in the night sky. This was my favorite time of year because of how pretty it was and happy I felt. I was lost in my thoughts and didn't hear Mingi walk in until his arms were wrapped around my waist.
"Hey, Beautiful!" He whispered in my ear and kissed the shell of my ear.
"Hey, when did you get home?" I put the bowl I had in my hand down and turned my attention to him.
"Just now. It is wet and cold outside." He said dipping his finger in my bowl to taste the batter.
"Mingi no that's not for us." I slightly scolded.
"Oops," She said and dipped his finger in again and this time booped my cheek before licking it off his finger.
"Mingi!" I laughed as he ran away from me. I chased him and we both ended up on the couch huffing and puffy as he hovered over me.
"Here let me clean it off" He got leaned in and licked it off my cheek making me cringe at the feeling of his tongue.
"Thanks," I said annoyed. We moved around and got comfortable as Mingi picked a Christmas movie for us to watch.
"What do you want for Christmas?" He asked randomly.
"Christmas is tomorrow?" I responded.
"I know just tell me!" He huffed since I didn't go along with it.
"A kiss" I giggled and stood up to clean the kitchen.
"A kiss?" He questioned confused. I look out the window at the snow and smiled fondly at the white fluffy powder falling from the sky.
"Yes... A kiss... I have always wanted a kiss in the snow or a kiss under the mistletoe during Christmas time. But like isn't a Hallmark movie so I keep it to myself." I turned to look at Mingi all dressed up to go outside in the snow.
"Get dressed," He said pulling the beanie on my head so my ears didn't get cold. I quickly got dressed and followed him outside to the middle of the empty street.
"What now?" I looked up at him as he looked around.
"Do you know that when it snows it becomes silent? Something in the air traps the noise so it's sort of peaceful." I stifle a laugh but decided to go ahead with his plan.
"I didn't know that," I said looking around.
"Yeah but if you listen closely you can probably hear one thing..." I had no idea where he was going with this now.
"Hear what?" I asked sincerely.
"Come closer" He ushered me to him. His arms wrapped around my body encasing me in his arms.
"Do you hear it?" He asked but I heard nothing.
"No" I whispered.
"Listen... closer!" He whispered back. I slapped his arm playfully making him laugh.
"I hear your heart," I say annoyed at how cheesy it was.
"Yeah... but my heart only beats for you and I want our first Christmas to be the best one yet. I want you to brag to everyone how amazing it was until the end of time." I chuckled bit listened to him fondly.
"No matter what it's already amazing." I placed my head on his chest to listen to his beating heart.
"I love you so much... which is why my heart only beats for you. I would do anything and everything for you as long as I get to see your smile and feel the happiness radiate off your body." He guided my chin to look up at him. HIs eyes twinkled and his lips melted my frozen body as the snow fell carefully around us.
He made it feel like a Hallmark movie... but what he doesn't know is my life with him always felt like a fairytale.
"Merry Christmas baby... I love you" He mumbled on my lips. I pulled away and looked at my watch that read 12:03.
"Merry Christmas... I love you"
