Hongjoong called me frantically telling me that he accidentally deleted my part in the new song we were working on when he was editing. He knew KyungMin was over for the weekend and didn't want to bother me but our deadline was around the corner.
I hang up the phone and look over at (y/n) walking through the door with bags of snacks and drinks and the ingredients for dinner.
"Hey babe I'm sooooo sorry to ask you to do this but I need to go re-record my part that Hongjoong deleted during editing. Can you stay with KyungMin?" I take her hands in mine and kiss the top of them a couple of times. She smiles and rolls her eyes.
"Babes of course don't worry about it. Well have fun and it's not anything you ever have to worry about. Go we'll be here and everything will be fine" She guides my face down to hers and kisses my lips handing me her keys and walking into the kitchen calling for KyungMin and giving him a big hug.
"Omg you are almost as tall as me," she tells him as he giggles all happy to see her.
"We all know I'll be taller than you soon" he replies playfully.
"Well I mean I hope so. That means you are healthy and growing well. But let's be honest I'm just really short." The laughter they both shared was genuine and their bond was pretty special.
"Short or not I like you Noona" They laugh a bit more and then start talking about school while putting the food up.
She made me feel at ease with how well she treated him and how much he liked her as well. Leaving them and going to the company I re-recorded as quickly as I could but even with the hard work I ended up back at the apartment later than I wanted.
Walking up to the door I met up with Mom and we walked into the apartment together. Walking into the TV in the middle of a movie and (Y/n) is asleep on the couch with KyungMin next to her and her arm wrapped around him. Both of them slept so soundly.
"He loves her I hope you know that. He's always telling me that he can't wait until you marry her." I throw a blanket over the both of them and kiss them both on the forehead.
"I'm glad because he is non-negotiable." Mom smiles and pats my back turning me to face her. She takes my face in her hands and smiles.
"She's a good one. They are very rare nowadays. You don't have to get married right away but if you see a future with her at least tell her and love her and never let her go." She takes the engagement ring dad had given her off her finger and slides her wedding ring back on handing me the engagement ring.
"Mom" I whisper looking back at the couch to (y/n) and KyungMin.
"Only when you are ready. If you are not or it doesn't go well you can give it back to me. But think about it." I nod and put the ring in my pocket. I debate moving (y/n) and KyungMin especially since KyungMin is getting so big now.
"I think I should let them sleep. You go sleep in the room I'll be there after I shower." Mom kisses my cheek and walks to the bedroom. I sit there staring at (y/n) trying to imagine a future with her. It didn't take that long and it wasn't hard at all.
It was crystal clear.
She's one of the good ones as Mom mentioned and I need to do something about that quickly. I take the engagement ring out of my pocket and look at it. Twisting it between my fingers and smiling at the thought of marrying (y/n).
The matter was settled... I will marry her. Maybe not now and maybe not in a few months but I will and this ring will be on her finger soon.
