A/N: If you like ghost stories, I can recommend my other story "Dance with Me" if you haven't read it yet. There, Yibo is a ghost and it's up to Zhan to figure out why and how he can help him. Oh, and the cover for the book was kindly drawn for me by WeiWeiWei_95 . I'll upload the cover at the end of this chapter too, then you can check it out. I'm really loving it.

I stared at this woman and asked, "What, what do you mean?" But instead of answering, the woman indicated that we should follow her. We did and then ended up in a small apartment just a few doorways away from Marcella's apartment.

She told "us" to sit down and we did. Meanwhile she closed the heavy curtains and lit a few candles before sitting down, smiling and asking Zhan: "Is it better with the light? Feels much warmer right away, doesn't it?" And Zhan nodded.

"So you can really see him?" I asked excitedly.

"Yes. I can see him. I see that he's trying to cling to your arm and seems to be a little smitten by you."

"Smitten? Um never mind. You said something so strange earlier. That he needs to get back into his body. What does that mean?"

"It means he's not dead. Even though we can see his spirit. For some reason he left his body. And he has to go back there. Because he's slowly fading away. You can tell because he's becoming transparent."

"What happens if he doesn't come back to his body?"

"Then his spirit will dissolve and he can never be reborn. He will just be gone, as if he never existed. And all that will be left will be his soulless corpse that any evil spirit can empower."

"Okay that would suck. But how can I help him? He has no memories and only knows his name is Zhan."

"Mhhh, that's bad, of course."

"That's what I'm saying."

"Maybe you should try walking or driving around familiar places with him a little. Maybe his memories will come back. Also, he should be able to feel it when his body is around. He'll be attracted to it."

"And that's really supposed to work?"

"Well, it can't hurt to try. I wish I could tell you more. But I'm not that gifted. And the only one I know who might be able to help him with his memories is out of town, unfortunately."

"So when will she be back?"

"I don't know. The last time she contacted me was from abroad when she was caring for the lost souls of a hospital on a hill."

"Wait a minute. Hospital on a hill? Was she in Germany there?"

"Oh yeah, that's right. How do you know?"

"Because I was in that hospital, too."

"I see. I heard it was terrible there."

"It was. I've never been so scared in my life as I was that night."

"And yet you put up with that ghost and even want to help him."

"Zhan is different. I don't know why, but I just feel that I don't have to be afraid of him."

"Well maybe you were brought together for a reason. What that might be, you'll have to figure out together."

"Um, I don't know. But would it be possible to make contact with this woman?"

"I'm afraid I always have to wait for her to contact me. But the next time she does, I'll be happy to tell her about you two and ask her to come back here to help you."
