You walk into the old apartment where your mother and sister live. The wallpaper peeling off, and dust everywhere, you were glad you left. You moved out as soon as you turned eighteen to follow your dreams of becoming an actress. Which you failed at and ended up going to a collage that was still reasonably far from home. It's not that you didn't like your family, you just wanted to be more independent. You put the purse down on the granite counter top.
"Hello? Rose? Mum?" You sigh and plop down on the couch.
"I guess their not home..." You mutter to your self, pulling out your phone. You had specifically told them you were coming today. But did they bother to listen? No. Do they even care? No
Do they-
"Hello" you jump up from the couch, dropping your phone on the ground.
You spin around, nearly tripping over your own feet. "wh-who are you?"
A man stands, leaning on the door frame with spikey brown hair and a trench coat.
"Why are you here?" He asks, not bothering to answer your other question.
"I'm looking for my sister, she lives here, have you seen her? Her names Rose. I told her I was visiting today but obviously she didn't listen." You huffed in exasperation. The mans gaze immediately softened.
"I-I didn't know..." his eyes became glassy as they filled with tears.
"I'm sorry"
You tilted your head in confusion.
"What do you mean? What's happened to her?" You ask approaching the man.
He took a deep breath.
"She...I'm sorry, her and your mother, their gone."
You were too shocked to reply. You didn't know how to react. What to do. What to say. How could this happen? You were on the phone with her just a week ago. You were standing in this room with her a month ago.
"You look like her." he stated simply.
You tried to smile, but failed.
"M-my mum, used to call us twins."
You choked back a sob.
"Who are you?" You finally asked the man.
A smile tugged at the corners of his mouth.
"I'm The Doctor"
You crossed your arms.
"Doctor who?"
