"Clara!" You said happily and wrapped your arms around her.
"Hey, [N/N]!" She replied with just as much exitment.
"How come you are picking me up from school? Is my dad okay?"
She ruffled the hair on your head.
"He...he'll be okay. Just taking care of a few things, no big deal."
You raised your eye brows.
"Are you sure?"
She splayed her arms to the sides.
"I'm always sure! Now while I'm helping The Doctor, you are going to say with my friend-"
Please don't be Mr. Pink, Please don't be Mr. Pink
You thought to yourself and crossed your fingers.
"Mr. Pink!"
You shot Clara a disappointed look.
"The Maths teacher?"
The brunette nodded cheerily.
"Do I have to?"
She urged you into the passengers seat of her car.
"C'mon it'll be fun, besides its only for the weekend."
She started the car and pulled out of the drive way.
"The whole weekend!? My dad can time travel, he's a timelord, why would it take the whole weekend!?"
Clara was like a mother to you, Danny Pink, was like Satan to you.
Always gave extra homework, called on people when they didn't raise their hand, controlling, rude.
And when you found out Clara and him were together, you just about exploded.
"Your father has absolutely no concept of time, and neither do you. You were late for my class four times this week."
You drummed a random beat on the car door.
"Yeah, but that was on purpose." You mumbled quietly.
"What about clothes?"
Clara pointed to a bag in the back seat.
"I packed you some, along with any girly stuff you might need."
You blushed in embarrassment.
"Do I have to go?"
The car pulled into Mr. pink's drive way.
"Yes, where else would you go?"
You smiled weakly.
"I could go with you...?"
Clara deadpanned.
"Not a chance"
You shoved your ear buds in your ears an played the first song that was on your play list.

Leaning back in the car seat, you watch Clara and Danny exchange a hug. You struggle to keep in your vomit when he kisses her.
The bag Clara packed you was in a mint green duffle, covered in rainbow pop tarts.
You grabbed it and shut the car door.
Getting your sassy attitude on, you switched the song on your playlist to
Just One Yesterday by Fall Out Boy.
Throwing your bag over your shoulder, you pushed past Danny.
"S'cuse me satan-I mean Mr. pink."
You say flatly.
The house was roomy, Lots of open space, nice furniture.
"You live in a bit of a dump." You flop on the couch with your bag.
You could almost feel Clara's disappointed glare burning into the back of your head.
Well, you know what that means, yup you guessed it. Turning up the music so loud it drowns out everything else.
You almost wanted to cry when the door shut and you knew Clara was gone and your were stuck with the person you hated most in the world.
[F/S] blasted through the tiny speakers as Danny came an sat in the ottoman in front of you.
His lips moved but your music was too loud for you to make out what he was saying. After a few seconds you began daydreaming about Gallifrey, the russet grass peppered in ivory snow.
Or at least until Danny Committed the eighth deadly sin; pulling one of your ear buds out of your ears.
Heat Rushed to your head in anger.
"Are you even listening to me?"
You smiled sweetly, a bit too sweetly.
"I was trying my best not to."
He sighed.
"Look [Y/N] I know I may not be your favorite teacher, but I need you to respect me-"
"Your a soldier." You interrupted him.
"Yes I am, I don't see how that's relevant-"
You cut him off, for the second time.
"I don't like soldiers, I don't like you."
Danny was a bit taken aback, he opened his mouth to speak but you didn't let him.
"I'm going to my room now Mr. Pink." You stated calmly, getting up to leave.
You took your time going to the bed room. All the time thinking about Gallifrey, it was starting to get to you. Tears welled up in your eyes.
"I miss you Mom." You mumbled to yourself pressing your forehead against the door frame.
Unbeknownst to you, Danny stood at a fair distance, listening with curiosity.

"[Y/N]"
You slowly began to regain consciousness.
"[Y/N]"
You rolled over, pulling the blankets up.
"F-five more minutes dad..." You muttered sleepily.
Danny face portrayed a hint of sympathy as he shook your shoulder.
"[Y/N], it's me Mr. Pink."
You blinked your eyes open and came face to face with the teacher.
"Ew, what?" You sat up, when memories came rushing back of the day before.
"Oh yeah, I'm staying here."
Danny stood up, "breakfast is on the table, you should get it before it gets too cold."
You muttered absently and got out of the comfortable bed. Peeking in the bag you saw the clothes Clara packed for you, but there was something else you noticed as well, a small note folded in half, written on note book paper.
Your name in cursive was splayed on the front.
The note read:

Hey [N/N]!
I just wanted to say I know you don't like Mr. Pink very much but try to get along and have fun, lots of love
~Clara

You smiled lightly before shoving the note back in your bag and taking out a black T-shirt and black jeans.
"Thanks Clara your going to make me look like I'm about to go murder someone."
Still, you put on the clothes in record time and wandered into the kitchen where your teacher sat eating.
"Did you sleep well?" He asked you when he noticed your presence.
You grabbed your plate of eggs and bacon, sitting across from him.
"I slept fine, Mr. pink."
You grumbled, shoveling eggs into your mouth.
"I said earlier, when we're not in school you may call me Danny."
Internally, you were rolling your eyes.
"I'm fine calling you Mr. Pink, Mr. Pink."
The look of disapproval on his face was a sure sight that he was about to give a lecture.
"Look [Y/N], I have been nothing but hospitable towards you since you came to stay, I don't know why you insist on being rude to me. If you have a problem with me being a former soldier then I'm honestly sorry. I don't know what happens to you family or if it had to do with war but that's no reason-"
As soon as he mentioned family something inside you snapped.
"No reason?" You interrupted.
He fell silent for a moment.
"Yes that's-"
You abruptly stood up from the chair a furious glint in your eyes.
"You have no right to tell me about having 'no reason.' You have no idea what I have seen! I watched a planet burn, Mr. Pink. I was forced to stand there while every thing, and everyone that I ever loved died! But that wasn't all, oh no I'm not ever getting started. I had one person, I had my father. You don't know what it's like being the last of your kind, no there are thousands, billions of other humans right out side that door. Not me just a lonely time lord and her dad. Friends came and go but never stayed, no one ever stays they all leave me! W-when Clara came she was like a mother I never had, I don't want you to take that away!"
Hot tears streamed down your face as you started at his shocked figure.
"You. Know. Nothing." You spat.
A very long silence passed after that. In those few minutes someone could have cut the tension with a butter knife.
"[Y/N]..." Danny broke the silence.
Instead of saying anything else he approached you slowly and wrapped his arms around you. This action startled you, and your instincts were to push him away, but it was strangely comforting.
After releasing you he knelt down to you level.
"I will never take Clara away from you, even if I tried I couldn't. You should see her at school she talks about you all the time, she really cares.
I may not be able to get everything that your going through but I understand some of it. When you need to talk, come to me, alright? You shouldn't hold it all in by yourself, trust me I've been there before it's not fun."
You just nodded.
"Are we good now?"
he put up dis fist, and you bumped it.
"I suppose so."

***[ Extended Ending]***

You and Danny were sitting on his couch watching 'Parks and Recreation' Sunday morning, waiting for Clara and The Doctor to come and pick you up.
"Don't do it!" You yelled as the main character was about to make a big mistake.
"Oh my god." You face palmed making Danny chuckle.
Both of you had popsicles in your hands, and were wearing the Tie-Dye shirts the both of you made the night before.
Engrossed in the television, no one notice when the unmistakable noise of the TARDIS came into ear shot.
When Clara stepped out she was genuinely shocked to see You and her boyfriend, sitting together, with Tie-Dye shirts, Popsicles and laughing together. As an incredibly short person came on the screen you turned to Danny and said.
"That one looks a bit like Clara."
This The Doctor heard making him laugh loudly. "She's not wrong." He said to her. "Your back!" You cheered and got up to greet her.
After a short exchange you walked back inside the TARDIS leaving Danny and Clara outside alone.
"Matching shirts and Popsicles, huh? Didn't she used to hate you?"
He shrugged and gave her a peck on the lips.
"I fixed that." Not bothering to question him any further the brunette nodded.
"So you don't mind taking care of her, maybe next Wednesday?"
Danny smiled and replied:
"It would be my pleasure."
