"Logan, please." You begged him. Tears Streamed down your face while the cool autumn air whipped your hair back.
" [Y/N] I have to go" he said while wiping your tears away with his thumb.
"I promise I'll be back before you know it." He reassured you. Somewhere in the pit of your stomach you knew he wouldn't be. You had this terrible anxiety hanging over you that he wouldn't come back. You tried to shake it off. But it stayed. You tried to ignore it. But it stayed.
And you know what?
You turned out to be right.

***

It was a shame really. The two if you were perfect for each other, inseparable. You had a once in a life time deal.
The same ability.
He didn't exactly age, and neither did you.
Mind you, you didn't have the super-cool retractable claws, you could still regenerate.
(NO NOT DOCTOR WHO I MEAN HEAL QUICKLY)
How long have you two been apart?
You lost count years ago.
Did it kill you every second?
Most defiantly.
Will you ever forget him?
Never.
Will you ever stop looking for him?
Not a chance.

***

Cold, wet, alone, tired, scared. These words couldn't even begin to describe what your feeling.
You had finally given up.
You spent too long looking for him.
Too long thinking about him.
It was killing you.
So this was you
Letting him go.
It hurt to accept in your heart that you won't ever see him again, but it was the truth. And the truth hurts.
You had no where to go. It was pouring Rain, all you had was a thin sweater on and a pair of ripped jeans.
You didn't even know where you were.
You cold Hardily remember where you had been.
"Hello?" your head shot up from its original position of being buried into your knees.
You didn't reply.
"Hello?" The voice called again. You finally saw someone coming towards you, with very odd looking glasses.
"Who are you?" You asked with a hint of sass laced in your tone.
"I'm Scott summers." You nodded
"Okay, would you mind leaving me alone now?"
A smile crept up on the mans face.
"It's okay, i know what you are, I'm one too."
You stood up, inspecting the man's --Scott's -- every detail.
"How do you know?"
Is that obvious?
You began to panic inside your own head.
If these strangers know, who else knows!?
As if he read your thoughts he said:
"Don't worry we have a friend, Professor X, he can...tell these things."
You nodded.
"S-so what exactly d-do you want?" You asked, teeth chattering. You were drenched from the rain, and the cold breeze wasn't helping.
"We have a place, a school, filled with other mutants, just like you or me. You could come, if you like."

"Where Is it?"

"Your pretty much in front of it." He says in a laugh.
"O-o-o-okay" you tried to reply.
"We can get you warmed up in there, too...uhm, sorry I didn't get your name."
"[Y/N], [Y/N] [Y/L/N]"
He lead you through a gate.
You keeping a tight grip on his arm the entire way to the building so you wouldn't fall over.
It was like a rush of warmth as soon as you stepped foot into the structure.
You couldn't help but let out a sigh if relief.
"This way." Scott directed you to a small room, with clothes neatly stacked on a small wooden dresser.
"Uhm, there's some clothes there, if they don't fit tell me, after you get dressed I'll take you to Charles."
You nodded vigorously, just happy to be out of the rain.
You glanced at the clock hanging up on the plain beige wall
8:47 P.M.
You peeled off your soaking wet clothes and slipped on the warm fresh ones.
The shirt was a bit big, but good enough for you.
You opened the door of the room again, seeing Scott waiting by the door.
"Right let's go."
You walked down a plain corridor. fumbling nervously.
You didn't know any of these people.
You didn't know if you could trust them.
You didn't know where you were going.
And what scared you most of all
You didn't know what was going to happen.
It scared you to not have a clue.
You weren't sure what to think.
You twiddled you thumbs, the entire walk being very interested in the floor.
Apparently it was a bit too obvious how anxious you were.
"Hey, calm down, you'll be fine."
Scott comforted you.
You nodded absently.
"Alright" you replied barely above a whisper.
You used to have so much Confidence. Back when you were with logan. Having your heart shattered changes you. It changes you in way you hate, in ways you can never learn to love.
"Alright were here." Scott pushes open the door, making way so that you could go in first.
You shyly step inside the room.
Then it happens.
You see a face you never thought you would see again.
"Logan?" Your hands shook.
Maybe you were dreaming.
Or hallucinating.
Or maybe you were just crazy.
"[Y/N]." He breathed out.
You nodded your head.
"H-how...?"
He seemed just as perplexed as you were.
"Your alive" you mumbled, taking a step closer to him.
"Your actually alive."
He didn't say anything. He didn't need to.
You rested your hand on his cheek.
Hot tears were already running down your face.
You couldn't help it anymore. You jumped up and hugged him as hard as you could, and in return, he wrapped his arms around your waist, lifting you and spinning you In a circle.
"I never thought I'd see you again." He whispered, with a huge smile plastered across his features.
You pressed your head into his chest, just breathing in his warm sent.
"I'm here now."
you felt his chin rest on top of your head.
"What?" You heard a very confused Scott ask from the door way.
"Oh right, Professor X, Scott, this is my long lost girlfriend, [Y/N]."
He smiled, not letting go of you just yet.
