Professor McGonagall nodded again for Hermione to continue. She was sensing her nervousness.
The younger witch took a deep breath before speaking again. "Draco and I are in a relationship, Professor," Hermione continued looking at her timidly.
Professor McGonagall raised an eyebrow upon hearing this. She was surprised to say the least. "I see," she answered. "Although it is not really prohibited to have romantic relationships in school, as Head Boy and Girl, I expect both of you to act with decency at all times," she told them, eyeing them both as she spoke.
"Professor, we need to tell you something else," Hermione said hesitantly after a while. She was so nervous and afraid to see the disappointment in Professor McGonagall's face.
"Hermione's pregnant," Draco blurted out suddenly. If Hermione is talking at the current rate she was, their meeting will probably end at midnight, he thought. He just wanted to get this over and done with whatever the consequences might be.
Both the professor and Hermione looked at him in shock. Hermione wanted to say it herself, she just needs to take it slowly so that the Professor will have time to understand the situation better.
"Mr. Malfoy! That is not something to joke about," Professor McGonagall replied sternly looking at the blonde wizard. She then turned to her favourite student who was neither denying nor admitting Draco's statement.
"Ms. Granger, please tell me that he is joking," the Professor asked Hermione almost pleadingly. Her nostrils were flaring and her lips were spread thinly as she waited for her to say something.
Instead of answering, Hermione suddenly burst into tears. Her hormones getting the better of her. Draco instantly put his arms around her, trying to soothe her from her outburst.
The headmistress was stunned at the unexpected turn of events. Seeing the Gryffindor's reaction, it only proved that the Slytherin was indeed telling the truth. She sighed deeply, her head suddenly aching from the shocking news they have told her.
"Mr. Malfoy, could you kindly escort Ms. Granger back to your dormitories," she finally said when she saw that Hermione was not calming down no matter what Draco says to her.
"Alright, Professor, thank you," Draco replied, helping Hermione to stand up. He was still holding her while she sobbed.
"I'll see you two again tomorrow after breakfast if Ms. Granger is already feeling better," the Headmistress told them. "Please take care of her, Mr. Malfoy," she added concernedly.
"We will see you tomorrow and I will take care of her, Professor. Thank you again," Draco replied politely, relieved that the Professor did not reprimand them at Hermione's current state.
When the two students exited her office, Professor McGonagall sighed deeply again. "Albus! Severus!" She called the two previous Hogwarts Headmasters before her. "We have a huge problem," she told the paintings housing the two wizards.

Draco helped Hermione go up to their dormitory. The brunette witch was still sobbing uncontrollably in his arms. He guided her towards her bedroom, removing her cloak as he laid her down on her bed.
"Hermione, please don't cry," he whispered. "Our baby will be sad too if you keep on crying," he added while stroking her curls.
"I just couldn't control myself," she replied still sobbing. "Professor McGonagall is very disappointed in me," she added.
Draco took a deep breath before replying to her. "None of this is your fault. I'm really sorry for everything that you are going through right now because of me," he told her. "If only I could turn back the time and stayed away from you, I would," he said, guilt creeping on him once again.
Hermione looked at him with tears on her eyes, sighing. "If you could, knowing that you will be having a child because of it, would you still not do what you did?" She asked, remembering the time she used a Time-Turner with Harry in order to save Sirius.
Draco sighed loudly, thinking about her question. He looked at her, her brown eyes although still puffy and red from crying looked at him challengingly. Would I? Knowing that something atrocious brought about an innocent life in this world?
