"She would cry, right?"
Tears started streaming down his face at the realization of why she kept acting like she didn't deserve anything, always asking if they'd allow being friends with her, the sudden dazed looks, and the time she was sick. It was the actual truth that she died.
Jumping off of the swing seat, he grabbed her hands into his and held them tightly, looking her in the eye seriously, "Was it hard..?"
Magnolia froze at the question. But her own held back tears came streaming down as well, "Yeah..." her voice trembled.
"Was it painful..?"
"Yeah..."
"Was I at least with you in your final moments...?"
"Yeah..."
"Were you happy..?"
"No..."
"Do you regret dying..?"
"No..."
"Are you happy now?"
Magnolia looked up at Jiro for a minute until she brightly smiled, "Yeah..."
"Then that's all I need to know..." Jiro stood up and brought her into his arms securely, "I won't leave you alone... Even if I become bothersome." He playfully said.
A snort was all Magnolia replied with, covering her teary eyes with his jacket.
"If you don't mind telling me about it, I'm kinda curious about the future.. A-Ah-! But you don't have to tell me if it's something weird or bad!" He rambled on, not wanting her to feel uncomfortable.
Magnolia just placed her hand on his head and ruffled his locks, "I don't mind..."
Sitting down on a bench, She told him of all the deaths that happened in the near future including his older brother. And the friends in the near future. She also added in Takemichi who would also come from the future to save his middle school girlfriend. Which in her opinion made no sense.
The whole time Jiro didn't say a thing. It was honestly scary how quiet he was while listening.
"So you became a doctor..?" He spoke up after a minute.
"That's your first question after hearing about the deaths..!?" She was baffled at how calmly he was taking things.
"I mean sure the multiple deaths is quite stressful but I was curious of what you did not being included in that gang world... So when did you learn how to wield a sword..?" He looked up at her curiously.
"I might have entered some sword competitions along the way... I mean learning how to fight never hurt someone.." she sighed out.
"Is that why you were so strong last time we sparred?" He leaned back on the bench thinking.
