[Opal y/n POV:] I started looking around the forest we were in. I saw carriages being pulled by what seemed to be some dragon-horse creature. "Woah look at that creature," I told Arleth pointing at them. "Opal, there is nothing there," she replied annoyed. "I can see them too," said Harry. "They can only be seen by people who witnessed death," added Hermione. "Can you see them?" I asked turning to look at her. "Yes, I can, almost everybody after the war can see them."
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's get on, I'm hungry" said Ron. First Ron got on the carriage, then Hermione, and then Harry; finally it was my sister's turn to get on but stopped midway and turned to look at me. "Can we help you?" she asked. I turned to look at my side and saw the same blond man, Draco, walking slowly towards us. "All carriages are full, may I ride with you guys?" He said in a quiet husky voice. "No Draco, get lost and go bother someone else" Ron snapped. "Yeah sure come ride with us," I said as I dragged his hand towards us. He pulled his hand back quickly and hid his expression, although I could tell he was blushing, but not the "like" blush, the type of blush that you make when you're startled.
I followed after my sister got up. Finally, it was Draco's turn to get on. As he took the last step he slipped, I stood up quickly and grabbed his arm so he wouldn't fall off. "Are you okay?" I asked. He looked up at me and I swear I saw a single tear drip down his face. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" I asked again. "Don't waste your energy on that asshole Opal (y/n)" said Ron in a disgusted tone. Draco, like last time, pulled his hand away and shoved me as he took a seat. "Well an excuse me could've been nice," I said annoyed. "Well you didn't get one, deal with it!" He snapped back at me. "Pues que creído (Well how full of himself)" I said and looked at my sister. "Y si (there isn't a direct translation but it's a way of agreeing in Spanish)"

[Draco POV:] I kept seeing that kid from the shop for some reason, and I shouldn't have been surprised, but they go to Hogwarts now. I asked to ride in their carriage and Ron snapped at me, but they instead insisted that I ride with them. While I was getting up I slipped and they caught me just in time. "Are you okay?" they asked, and although I knew they were asking if I was okay from the fall, it felt nice having someone ask if I was okay. I didn't realize it but for some reason, I almost started to cry. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" they asked again. I pulled my hand away and shoved them as I walked to the end of the carriage. "Well an excuse me could've been nice," they said sounding annoyed "Well you didn't get one, deal with it!" I snapped back. I don't know why I snapped back, I told myself I would be a better person, but so far it isn't working out.

[Opal (y/n) POV:] We climbed up into a carriage and started moving as soon as everybody got on it. "So this will take us to Hogwarts campus right?" I asked. "Yes, and if you look ahead it's right there" I turned to look and saw a ginormous castle. It's a never-seen-before view. Words simply cannot describe how fascinating it was! I gasped in amazement and turned to look at my sister, who was amazed as well. I looked around the carriage and made eye contact with Harry. "You seem amazed," he said, "I indeed am, this place looks amazing even from the outside" I replied. "Wait until you see the inside" he chuckled. I turned to look at Draco who had his head down.

When we arrived at the foot of the castle, my sister walked down the steps but I instead jumped off the carriage and landed flat on my ass. "Opal for fucks sake-! Oh I'm sorry excuse my language!" said Arleth. Hermione giggled as she grabbed her book bag to get off the carriage. Draco also jumped off the carriage instead he didn't land flat on his ass as I did, it would've been nice though, considering I am still sour from earlier. He walked towards me and stretched out a hand, which I stared at hesitantly. "Well? I don't have all day" he said in an annoyed tone and stretched his hand out further. I grabbed it and got up as I brushed the dirt off me. "Thanks," I said, "Just paying back for you catching me earlier, don't think much of it" He whispered to me and turned around to leave. "Opal if I were you I'd be more careful around Malfoy, I'm sure he's up to no good" Whispered Ron into my ear. I turned around stunned since I didn't hear him creep up on me. "I'm sure he was just being nice, you seem to dislike him for his past, but people change Ron" I whispered back
"Well, what are we waiting for? Let's head inside you guys" said Hermione.

As we all headed inside I looked around and see a crowd of about 40 kids walking towards an old lady with green robes. "Hello, I welcome you all back to Hogwarts, as many of you already know, I am Professor McGonagall. 8th years will take a seat at a separate table from their houses but are free to participate in house activities and sports teams. Please, follow me to the Great Hall along with the 1st years for the sorting ceremony. We followed Professor McGonagall down a large hall with paintings that moved! We didn't have such things in the US. We arrived at a big room with 4 giant tables in the center and decorations of red, yellow, green, and blue flags with animals, which I guess are the "houses" colors. We started walking down the hall and faces turned to look at us, we stopped at the foot of what seemed to be some sort of altar.

"First years stay here, may I please have Opal and Arleth Beatrix step up for sorting?" I turned to look at my sister who shrugged and grabbed my hand while walking up the steps. "Arleth Beatrix, please take a seat." I saw my sister take a seat on a stool and have a strange-looking hat placed on her head. "Hmm, interesting," both my sister and I gasped, "Holy shit it speaks?" I whispered to myself. "Very, very interesting, yes, I know, RAVENCLAW!" The whole hall started clapping as my sister stepped off the stool and walked toward me. "Opal Beatrix" called Professor McGonagall, I stepped up and sat on the chair, "My you are one interesting folk, let's see where I shall place you, hmm, oh I know, SLYTHERIN!" yelled the hat. I looked at the hall as hesitant clapping started. I turned to look at my sister, who had a shocked look on her face mixed with worry

Nothing much happened after that, the first years got sorted and it was LOUD, with lots of cheering and clapping, I consider myself an introverted extrovert, and times like these make my social battery drain, but I noticed something peculiar, for all of my fellow Slytherins, all they got were hesitant claps. This house must suck because most of the kid's reactions when they got placed into Slytherin were shocked or confused faces. I think green is a pretty color.
