Chapter 4

The next two days, Sophie helped with the fireworks with Keefe. Then the evening finally came, of the Vacker's dinner.

"Sophie! It's time to go!" Edaline called upstairs.

"Be there in a minute!" Sophie clipped an earring on.

Sophie decided to wear black leggings, and a red skirt and shirt. She went with black boots, and black earrings. She curled her hair, so that it went down her shoulders, and back. She also wore red lipstick and eyelashes.

When Sophie walked downstairs, Grady and Edaline were waiting. Grady wore khaki pants, and a green button down shirt. Edaline wore a teal dress, and her red hair cascaded down her shoulders.

"You look beautiful, Sophie," Grady complimented.

"Thanks Dad, you both look amazing as well," Sophie said back to them.

"We should probably get going," Grade looked at his watch, and they walked out the door.

The Vacker's house, was a large estate, they walked up to the front gate, where there was a small screen and a button below it. Edaline pressed it, and a woman popped up on the screen. She looked like she was Eastern Asian and had a black ponytail.

"Hello, my name is Grizel, I assume your here for the dinner party?" the woman asked.

"Yes, we are under the name of Ruewen," Edaline said into the screen.

"You're on the list," Grizel said, and the screen went blank.

The gate opened up to a pathway that led through a meadow. They walked through, and pushed the doorbell.

"Well Hello," a woman with long brown hair, wearing a light pink dress, and had a British accent, who looked a lot like Biana, "I'm Della Vacker."

A man who looked a lot like Fitz, stepped beside Mrs. Vacker. He wore black pants and a white button down shirt.

"Hello, I am Alden Vacker, please come in," the man greeted them, and gestured to inside.

"Sophie, the other children are on our backyard patio, Grady, Edaline, please follow me to the sitting room with the other parents,"  Della said, and Sophie walked off to the backyard patio.

It was pretty easy to find, as there were signs everywhere pointing to each room.

When Sophie walked to the patio, it had multiple mahogany arbors, tables and chairs. Also many various beautiful potted plants.

Sophie found her friends. She saw Fitz, Biana, and Keefe. Dex was also there and a few other people she didn't know. There was two twins, they had dark hair, with silver tips. One girl and one boy. There was an olive skinned boy, who was a lot taller than everyone else. And there was a kid shorter than everyone with brown curly hair and a hyper look in his eyes.

"Hi, I'm Jensi, what's your name?" the hyper kid, popped up next to her.

"I'm Sophie, who are the rest of you guys?" Sophie asked, stepping back from Jensi.

"I'm Tam, and this is Linh," the boy of the two twins, gestured to his twin.

"We're both Sophomores at Foxfire," Tam explained.

"Didn't I see you both with the goth kids?" Keefe asked.

"So?" Tam asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm Wylie, I'm a senior," the olive skinned boy said.

"Dex, I had no idea you lived on this street," Sophie whispered to Dex.

"Yeah, my mom is the snowboarder," Dex whispered back.
