Si Zhui kind of felt sorry for finding it a little funny how senior Wei tried to keep awake very unsuccessfully. He had been telling him stories for about an hour in order to get things off his mind. First Wei Wu Xian was giving him advice. Si Zhui was sure it would have been great advice if senior Wei had been wakeful enough to properly think before he spoke.

After a few minutes, Wei Wu Xian also realised this and told Si Zhui he would tell stories from when Si Zhui was little. But Si Zhui told him that senior Wen had told him almost everything that could be told from burial mounds, so he asked senior Wei to tell him stories from when he was little. And the stories made him think about beautiful lakes filled with lotus and flirting with beautiful ladies while going around eating various food which managed to completely erase that dreadful face from Si Zhui's mind. And he envied about the loving sister senior Wei had. And what a lovely mother Jin Ling would have had. However, he was finding it really hard to imagine a younger version of sect leader Jiang that seemed like he got angry at minor things but also easily burst into laughter. Forget a younger sect leader Jiang that laughed so often. He couldn't even imagine sect leader Jiang being able to laugh at all.

Eventually, despite Wu Xian's desperate efforts and extreme need to keep A-Yuan company, he ended up falling into a deep slumber. Si Zhui knew senior Wei would feel really sorry when he finally woke up. But Si Zhui was still grateful that senior Wei was next to him. He didn't feel so alone. But it was hard to keep his mind off of scary thoughts when there was no beautiful stories to occupy his mind. He wished that they have lit more lanterns apart from the small one beside his bed. The dark corners of his room were manifesting weird shapes. But he felt even more scared to get out of the bed to light more lanterns. It was like he knew something would happen to him the second his legs left the safety of the bed.

He forced himself to not look at the dark corners. It's not like anything would happen to him when he had senior Wei right beside him. He picked up few hair strands and started braiding as a means to distract himself. Senior Wei was ever so softly snoring which kind of calmed him down. But then there was a rustle. Si Zhui sat up at once. It was right outside his window. He reassured himself saying it must be a small animal when his window started creaking open and his heart almost stopped. There was someone standing there.

Si Zhui slowly bent to the side, reaching out to shake Wu Xian awake. All the while he could see the person also bending in through the window at a slow phase making Si Zhui's heart beat even stronger. "A-Yuan?" the whisper came in a gentle familiar voice. "May I come in?"

"Senior Wen?" Si Zhui heaved a sigh big enough to make him scared that all the air inside him left with it. "The door isn't locked."

But Wen Ning fumbled in through the window like he didn't hear him. He definitely wasn't silent about it. He was nowhere near as graceful as Hanguang Jun. Si Zhui thought that even senior Wei would be able to make less noise. But it seemed at the moment, senior Wei was just too tired to be woken up by that noise. He kept on softly snoring slightly turned to a side with his head to the side and arms wrapped around himself making it look like the not so comfortable chair he was in ever so cosy.

"Senior Wen, what are you doing here?"

Wen Ning came and sat on the ground beside Si Zhui's bed.

"Senior Wen, there is another chair over there. You can pull it up to here."

He looked at the chair but turned back towards Si Zhui taking his hand within his big ones, "Ah... A-Yuan, how are you feeling? Are you in pain?"

"No senior Wen. But, how come you are here? I didn't know you were at Cloud Recesses. Did you just come in at night?"
