It was around practice time and Hope had been working her butt off and she hadn't thought about the brunette boy once.

Hope has been so wrapped up in training and taking her angry out on the field, she had completely forgot that practice ended about an hour ago..

Hope had been so busy that she didn't even know everyone had left until the coach said something.

Hope POV

"You're still here?" The coach asked me as I lifted some weights.

My abs were growing back in really fast.

"I wanted to get in the extra work out" I admitted

"That's great but your friend is here she says she needs to talk to you" coach says

Any of my friends that I have would have just came on the field and told me to get my ass up so something.

Who would ask to talk with me—

"Josette." I said as I seen her walking on the field.

"I have to go" I said to the coach before running in the opposite direction.

I can't talk with her nor do I want to.. I just want to forget about her.

When I ran I was thankful that maya was still here and she was able to take me back home.

"What's going on with you?" Maya asked

I sighed and looked out the window.

"I did something bad" I told her

She readjusted herself in the car.

"What do you mean something bad?" Maya asked

"I—... I didn't listen to you when you said stay away from Josie and I started caring for her" I started...

"Did you fuck her? Because it's nothing wrong with getting some pussy" maya stated as she let out a chuckle

She looked at me and knew the situation was serious so she stopped.

"I didn't have sex with her... I didn't even kiss her and we both know that I wouldn't just lose my virginity to anyone... especially to her" I stated.

That was entirely true it's just it felt weird saying.

"So what did you do?" Maya asked

"I think I like her... maybe. All I know is I have a tiny bit of feelings for her and that when you told me to stay away I just couldn't... so tell me to go with her so I can do the opposite" I spat out.

"Hope— I told you not to get involved with her" maya says as she ran her hands through her hair.

"I know and I didn't want to it's just something about her that makes me want to know more and I want to know everything about her" I admitted as I fidgeted with my fingers.

"We have to get rid of these feelings..." maya says

"I know... and I know what you're going to say" I assured her

"You must not know... Josie isn't the person I'm scared of that would hurt you.. it's her father" maya admits

"What do you mean?" I asked

"Umm.. me and Josie use to be close.. and one day her dad had caught us kissing and that's why I moved to New Orleans for 5 years and then came back hoping he forgot in which he didn't and he made sure my life was a living hell because he has connections to things that you wouldn't even know about" maya admitted.

"Maya I'm so sorry... I should have listened and backed off" I assured.

"It's fine... we just need to keep you away from her and her father" she says

I just nodded and got out the car.

"I'll see you later may" I said

She nodded and soon pulled off after I shut the car door.

Today has been a long day and I just need to rest.

I ran up the stairs and put my book bag on my bed.

My parents weren't home surprisingly.

Soon the bell started ringing like crazy.

It couldn't be my parents because they got a key.

It's probably maya.

I ran down the stairs and the person kept ringing the bell.

"I'm coming" I said

I ran to open the door revealing Josette?

How did she know where I live.

"Hi" Josie says

"What do you want and how do you know where I live?" I asked

She looked down at my hands and then back up at me.

"I followed you here" she says

"So we are taking stalking to another level? I mean I know you like pissing me off but it has to be some type of limit" I hissed.

"Listen hope... I really need to tell you something and I never told anyone this so I need you to listen" she says

"You know what? I don't need to do a damn thing you say I just need you to leave me alone and stop bothering me bringing me down ... I'm just trying to live life and you steady making things hard for me" i spat out.

She looked at me dumb founded like I just said something terrible to her when I'm reality it was her who made things as it was.

And maybe the whole thing with her father was true then she still didn't have to be mean... it would probably be hard but she wasn't even trying to be nice.

"I know you are mad at me but I need to tell you something and I need to get this off my chest before I enter the hell house" Josie admitted

"Hell house? What hell house?" I asked out of concern.

"Hope... you piss me off" Josie started I just looked at her like she was crazy... coming to my house to tell me this bull shit.

"And I want to kill you most of the time" she added..

"I already know this" I said in response

"Just let me finish" she says and I just nodded "y—you may think that I mean to hurt you but I don't ... I'm sorry for everything that I put you through even if you are hell and annoying most of the time" she admitted.

"You can't apologize with insults" I told her

"I think... I think that you just need to stay away from me because even if I would never admit this to anyone but I don't want to see you get hurt" Josie says not looking into my eyes.

She probably was scared.

"It's okay josie.. I'm here for you even though you make it hard.. I can be the best friend that you never really had" I assured her.

She looked up at me.

She bit her lip before walking closer to me and smashing her lips into mine.

I was surprised that I even kissed back...

She immediately pulled away though... I kind of missed her lips.

"I— I shouldn't be here" she says before turning to run away.

"Josie!" I called after her and she just keep rushing to her car.
