Hope POV

When I turned the corner I heard two familiar voices.

"We can't do this anymore Josie" I heard maya say

Do what anymore?

"I agree, it was fun at first but now I think I actually might like Hope, like a lot." Josie says

"We can't ever talk about this and this can't even be called a thing... Hope can't ever know, it will just hurt her" maya says

"I don't regret doing this thing with you maya , and I'm glad we ended this off on good terms" Josie says

"I'm glad too, I just- I jus- can I- can I at least get one last kiss?" I heard Maya ask

That's when a tear shot on my eye.

I didn't want to watch them kiss so I ran out of the school.

I- I don't even know what to do right now.

"hey hope" I heard Landon say

"Landon?" I asked before running and hugging him.

"What's wrong hope?" Landon asked

I hugged him tighter and sobbed so loud.

"Let it out... let it all out hope" he says as he circled my back.

"I- I- I should have listened to y-you" I cried out.

"I- I shouldn't have g-gotten t-t- these feelings for h-her" I admitted as I sobbed even harder than before.

"Hope?" I heard a familiar voice say

"Lizzie?" I asked as I turned around to see Lizzie and Caroline.

"What's going on? Where's Josie?" Caroline asked

"Probably in the bathroom" I said obviously knowing where she was.

Lizzie ran inside.

"Are you okay?" Caroline asked me.

"I need my mom!" I said before dropping down to the floor.

"I'll go get her" Landon says before running off.

"Caroline.... Take both Lizzie and Josie away from here now! Alaric is here." I said still crying out.

I was in too much pain to even think right but I knew I still had to keep Josie safe.

"Okay" she says with a small smile.

She then ran into the school and soon my mom came out with my dad.

"Mommy take me home." I cried out like a 7 year old.

"What's the matter sweetheart?" My mom asked

"I need to go home! Like now m-mom" I said

My dad picked me up so that I can stand up right and then he walked us to the car.

My mom sat in the back seat with me.

I laid my head on her lap as she stroked my hair.

"Mom... do you think I will ever find true love?" I asked

"Is this why you are crying ?" She asked

"Maybe." I sniffled a bit

"Hope tell me what happened" my mom says

"From the beginning?" I asked

"Yeah" she says

"Well, it all started when we came to this fucked up town... take me back to New Orleans... let me live with aunt freya.. I can't stay here any more" I cried out

"What's wrong hope? You can't just leave because you have one heart break, it's hard but I know we can get through this" my mom says still stroking my hair.

"Mom... I think I actually fell in love with her." I said

"With who?" She asked

I tear left my eyes.

"Josie." I said

"Hope, did- did you not want to go to Harvard?" My dad asked trying to change the subject.

"I won't go as long as Alaric is going to be the leading of the place" I said

"What's wrong with him?" My dad asked still paying attention to the road.

"He's a rapist and abusive" I said

"And how do you know this? Did he try something on you?" My mom asked

I sat up.

"No... he raped his own daughter and nearly beat the other one to death" I said

My dad stoped the car.

"What do you mean? Is Josie one of his daughters?" My dad asked

"Yup, the one he beats on" I said

"I- Im so sorry hope" my mom says

"There's nothing going on with me.. Josies the one that need to hear 'I'm sorry' more than I do" I said

The car ride was already emotional but my dad had to top it off with his favorite song. 'I love you so by the walters' I mean it's an amazing song but this is the definition of what I'm going through right now.

"Cause you were cruel and I'm a fool" the song played and those words hit me hard.

Josie POV

"What the fuck did you do!" Landon says storming into the hallway.

"What?" I asked

"You fucking did this to Hope! I know it was you!" He screamed at me.

"What did I do to hope?" I asked

"Are you going to play dumb? I know it was you because she said I was right! She said I was right and she wouldn't have never gotten her self bothered with you" he says

"Hope said that? Why? We were just talking before the game and she blew me a kiss and everything" I said

"You know what you did and if Hope doesn't make you pay then I hope you live a life of hell" he said before storming off.

"You fucked up bad sis" Lizzie says becoming out of no where.

"What do you mean? What are you guys talking about?" I asked

"I don't know but I seen Hope crying out side and it was bad as fuck... and if you are the reason she is crying then I hope you can dig yourself out if this hole before it gets deeper.. and then at a certain limit you will just be in the hole forever because there wouldn't be a way out" Lizzie says

"I didn't do anything.." I said

I then pulled out my phone.

[me:] Hope text me back! I need to talk to you.

[me] I don't know where you are but don't make me come to your house.. Landon says I made you cry... what did I do?

Both left on delivered.

"What did I miss?" Maya asked

"Something is going on with hope and she started crying and I'm the reason for it but I don't know what I did" I said

"Where was Hope when she started crying?" Maya asked

"She was in the front" Lizzie says

"Shit!" Maya says before running out.

"I think I know what she saw.." I said in a level above a whisper.
