Final Exams and Prepping for Training Camp

"Hey Jirō?"

"Yeah Percy?"

"Are we moving too fast?" He asked her, his arms wrapped around her waist as they laid in his bed fully clothed.

She let out a deep sigh, "I think so. Honestly I feel like we need to take this relationship as a test drive before we officially get together." She explained looking up at him.

He smiled softly and nodded his head, running his hand through her short purple hair. His other hand rubbing circles on her back. While Avenged Sevenfold played quietly through speakers in his room.

"How would you feel if we made us official after this war? I'll be turning 16 and after we win, you and I go get dinner together." She smiled at the thought but shook her head.

"We don't need a set date as to when we get together for real. As long as you're there for me and I'm there for you, that's all I really need." She said while leaning in slowly to peck his lips. She then laid her head on his chest and closed her eyes. Falling asleep on his chiseled body.

FLASHBACK TO MEETING THE PARENTS

"Relax Percy, you'll be fine. Besides, my parents know about you being a good friend of mine." Kyouka looked up at Percy, a reassuring hand rubbing circles on his back.

He sighed, "I know but it's your parents. What if they don't like me for being this close to you?" He asked worriedly, unsure of how he would be able to handle not being friends with Kyouka.

"My parents may act like they're threatening, but in actuality, they're totally the opposite and as soon as you prove that you can take care of me. They'll happily accept you." She smiled up at him, placing a chaste kiss to his right cheek while rubbing his metal arm.

"I guess you're right."

"You guess?" She smirked at him with a teasing grin.

"Ok, you're absolutely right."

"Atta boy!" She giggled as she knocked on the door to her house.

What Percy hadn't realized, was that Kyouka had told her parents about how Percy had saved his entire class including herself during the USJ incident. Thus removing any doubt from their minds that he was a good match for their daughter. However, they still wanted to test him on his musical tastes.

As they sat at the dining table eating dinner, Kyotoku started the questioning.

"So Percy." The halfling looked up to see Kyouka's father looking at him.

"Yes sir."

"Tell me, what genre of music do you usually listen to. And don't worry about if it's offensive or not. I just want to know if your interests work well with our daughter's own interests."

Percy nearly choked on his own food before answering, "I tend to stick to the 1990's hip hop and metal movement. But I'll listen to anything from the 90's to 2021."

The three Jirō's were stunned, granted Kyouka kinda knew but she wasn't aware that he would listen to music that old. Her parents were a different story though. For a teenager, no less a demigod to listen to music that old, only meant that he had a lot of spare time on his hands.

"Would you mind telling us what you listen to that isn't from the 90's?"

"Of course, I stand by the fact that after Whitechapel released Kin in October of 2021, Deathcore as a genre could not get any better only to change my mind once I heard the brutal vocals and guitar riffs of Slaughter to Prevails' Kostolom. In my opinion, these two records are the epitome of what Deathcore as a genre should be. However, I'll listen to just about anything that isn't Brand of Sacrifice or Suicide Silence. But I'll throw in some Green Day and Black Flag to mix it up." He explained calmly while sipping from his drink occasionally.
