Chapter 9
I was walking to the auditorium to Dance Class when Mr. Nigel called my name in the corridor.
"Anntonella, my dear." He said and I turned back so I could face him. "Gabriel was looking for you, did he find you?" He asked and I shook my head. I haven't talked to him since our date, but it was still Monday anyway. "What class do you have now?"
"I'm having dance class with Lorena, in the auditorium." I answered showing the door that I had to enter.
"Allright, so if I see him I let him know you're there. Otherwise, he may call you later." Mr. Nigel told me and entered his office. I continued to walk to my class since I was already on time.
Mila was waiting for me to help her with some moves and I took the opportunity to practice as well. Lorena would be late today so Noah was leading the class. Since last week we've been rehearsing routines with some of his songs so we can get used to it for when he chooses the five. So today we were practising one of my favourites, 'Just me and you'. It was playing the acoustic version so it would be easier to follow the rhythm.
' i saw you in the park last night
you looked me with those big blue eyes
i didn't wanna move
I was afraid to lose
the memories of your face
I just want you to know
that I'm here,
and I can
make you feel good
just me and you.''
After hearing the chorus and repeating the movements for at least 10 times, I guess the song would stick in my head for the rest of the day.
When the class finished I went to get my things and Noah was there talking to a girl. As soon as I got closer she took off. I thought it was kind of strange but didn't say anything.
"You were right about those movements. No way I'm going to be able to do them." He said to me with a smile. I couldn't help myself and left a chuckle escape. Last Friday Lorena told us to teach Noah some of the moves we use to put in routines and a girl told him to do a sequence of chaines ( quick turns on alternating feet with progression). I told her it wouldn't be easy and she didn't like it.
"Did you try to do it?" I asked him curiously. I had to get out earlier so I didn't see if he tried any move.
"Yes." He said not very satisfied and I assumed it didn't work out. He never was a good dancer "But I'll never try it again. I got a little dizzy after it." Noah said and I laughed. "Wasn't funny."
"I'm pretty sure it was." I said between laughs. I don't know if I was acting like this because of the endorphine but it felt good to be around Noah again.
"Always laughin at me. Old habits never die, they say." He said faking disappointment. I finally was able to stop and be serious.
"It's just I remembered when you joined that dance class with me in high school... " This time he was the one to laugh a little. He only went to the class once because he was just that bad.
"I got better, okay? Ballet is just not my type of dance. But I learned a lot of moves." Noah said bragging and I finished packing my stuff to go.
"I would have to see to believe it." I told him. Really, I would never imagine Noah dancing. Singing, for sure, but dancing, no way.
"Ann, found ya!" I heard Gabriel calling me from the door and turned back to look at him. I wasn't expecting him here right now.
