Friday 6:00pm

Sidney and Randy graduated from Woodsboro High and went off to Windsor College in Ohio. I started my senior year just a couple weeks ago. It sucked being alone. I didn't really have any other friends. It was always Randy, Sidney, Tatum, Stu, Billy, and I. Tatum was dead, killed by Billy when she went out to Stu's garage to get more beer. Billy and Stu were on the run or at least that's what everyone thinks. I was pretty sure they were still lingering around or at least Stu was. Randy and Sidney were at college all the way across the county and I was here, stuck in Woodsboro until next August.

There was a knock at my door and I stopped what I was doing. "Come in!" I called. I was sitting at my desk doing homework when my dad came in. "Hey, sweetheart," he said. "Hey, dad. I thought you were leaving?" I asked. "I am. I am. I just wanted to give up before I left. "He handed me a paper with numbers on it. There was the hotel he would be staying at, the center where the expo he would be at, and the number of his the office he worked for. "Just in case you can't reach me directly. And Dewey knows you're here alone until Sunday night. So if you need anything, call him first and he'll be right over," he told me.

I nodded my head. "Okay, got it," I said. It was the first time in almost a year that he's agreed to leave me alone. Sidney was at college so he wasn't as worried about her as he was about me. "I don't have to go. I can stay home and they can send someone else," he said. "Dad, I'll be fine. I'll call Dewey if I get too anxious being alone. I promise," I told him. "Alright. Well, the taxi is downstairs waiting for me. The keys to the car and some money are on the counter in the kitchen," he said. "I have my own money, dad." He nodded his head, "I know but just in case," he said.

I stood and walked downstairs with him. "Make sure to lock everything up once I leave," he said. "I will, dad. Have fun and don't worry so much. I love you," I said, giving him a hug and a kiss on the cheek. "Okay. Love you too, kid. I'll see you Sunday night," he said and walked out the door. Once the taxi was gone I shut and locked the front door then went around the house to make sure the downstairs was all locked up. Before I headed back up to my room I decided to order a pizza, not in the mood to cook.

I was sitting at my desk trying to will myself to do my algebra homework when there was a knock on the door downstairs. "Thank god," I whispered. I ran down the stairs, unlocked and opened the door. To my distaste it was David. "Hey, it's you! One of the final girls!" He said. I scoffed, rolled my eyes and took the pizza. "Wait here!" I said and walked to the kitchen. I grabbed the ten off the counter and walked back to the door. "Keep the change," I said, handing him the money. I shut and locked the door then walked into the kitchen. I grabbed a soda out of the fridge, grabbed the box of pizza and went back upstairs.

I set the pizza on my bed, the soda on my nightstand, walked over and grabbed a random movie to put before sitting on my bed. I started the movie, flipped the pizza box open and grabbed a piece of pizza. Twenty minutes into the movie my phone rang on my bedside table. Throwing the piece of pizza in the box I picked the phone up, "Hello?" I asked. "Hey! Miss me?" I rolled my eyes, a smile creeping up on my face. "Not at all," I said. "Ouch! That hurts, y/n/n," Randy said in a fake pouty voice.

"What're you doing?" He asked. "Sitting on bed, eating pizza, and watching a movie. I ditched my algebra homework," I said. "Sounds fun. So how is Jamie doing?" I laughed, "Did you just call me to ask about my fucking poster?" I asked. "What! No! I miss h--you!" He said. "Oh, my god! Shall I send you a picture in the mail so you can do unspeakable things to it? You're such a virgin," I laughed out. "About that--'' he said. "Wait. Did you-- oh, my god! Did Randy get his cherry popped?" I asked. "Shut up! But yes. I did lose my virginity," he said.

"Oh! Was it a girl there?" I asked. "No. It was actually Karen," he said. "Karen Kolchak!" I yelled. "Yes," he said. "Creepy Karen! Creepy Karen from work?!" I yelled again. "Shut up! Don't you dare say anything! She's actually really nice," he said. I tried really hard not to laugh but I couldn't help it. I burst out laughing, falling over on my bed, tears started to form with how hard I was laughing. "IT'S NOT FUNNY! SHUT UP!" He was yelling but I could hear the laugh forming. Once I calmed down I wiped my face and sat back up. "Okay. Okay. That's why she was smiling that day we all worked together. Looks like you made her night, Meeks," I said. "I hate you," he groaned.

After talking to Randy for an hour we finally hung up. I took the rest of the pizza and any other trash down the kitchen. I checked one more time to make sure everything was locked up downstairs before heading upstairs and doing the same thing. It was nine o'clock and it was the weekend. I had off this weekend, so I didn't need to work. I had the whole house to myself. Of course, what does that matter? It's not like I have any friends to invite over. I thought about calling Dewey but decided not to.

With it being the first time I have been by myself in almost a year, I could feel the anxiety starting to creep in. I took a deep breath and walked to my closet. I grabbed an oversize tee-shirt and a pair of sleep shorts then went to take a shower. The hot water helped relax me and calm my nerves. Once I was done I dried off, got dressed, and headed back to my room, shutting and locking the door. I sat back down at my deciding to finish the rest of my homework since I wasn't tired.

Of course I got too distracted by the pictures on my desk. I had a picture of all six of us at prom. Billy and Sidney, Tatum, Randy, Stu and I, all standing together. The guys were standing behind us girls. Tatum had been nice enough to go with Randy since she didn't want to go with the creep that had asked her. She had made up the lie she was going with Randy just so he would leave her alone and she ended up sticking to it. It took Tatum a lot of annoying Sidney and I to go. It wasn't long after our mother had been killed, after we had found her.

Then I looked over at the picture I still had of just Stu and I. He has his arms wrapped around my waist, I was looking up smiling at him. It was a good night, we all laughed and ended up at the park, Stu had grabbed a couple cases of beer from his garage and we ended the night drinking and laughing. "That was a good night." Fear shot through me, freezing me in my spot. I slowly turned my head to see Stu standing by my window, smiling softly at me.
