A/N - Finally! I have found inspiration to finish this chapter and hopefully start the next one pretty quickly. I hope there are people still invested in this story, I know I've been gone a while but I've barely been writing so it's been slow getting back. I hope you enjoy and stick with me!

Leaving the apartment was as horrible as they predicted it would be, the only saving grace was that David pulled into the underground garage so they could get Lara into the car seat without being swarmed by paparazzi. Tinted windows were a god send. Now it was only getting out at Catco that would be the problem.

With Lara safely strapped into her car seat, Kara and Lena moved to sit either side of her. It was a little cramped, they needed to get a bigger car, or at least not all leave together. Lara babbled between them, tiny hands grabbing at the straps round her shoulders and Kara took one of her tiny trainer clad feet in her hand.

“You are adorable. Yes, you are.” Gushing over her, Kara ignored Lena on her phone as she pointed it towards the two of them. “I will change your password if that ends up on Instagram.”

Lena grinned. “You don’t have my password.”

“You sure about that?”

The car pulled up at L-Corp, effectively stopping anything Lena could have said. Instead, she put her phone in her bag and leaned over to kiss Kara quickly, giving a matching one onto Lara’s head. “I love you. See you tonight?”

“Love you too, don’t stay too late.” Kara smiled, knowing Lena wouldn’t stay too late given she hadn’t since they’d been back.

Smiling, Lena gave her one last look before opening her door to step into the occasional flashes that had been muted behind tinted windows. Today was going to be hectic, the door closed, and David waited to see Lena enter the building surrounded by L-Corp’s security. One day started, it was time to get hers underway.

The short drive from L-Corp to Catco went quick, the buildings entrance, like Lena’s was surrounded by paparazzi, none of whom she hoped worked for her. How in Rao’s name was she going to get Lara inside without having her picture taken by everyone between the car and the building? What was everyone’s obsession with their lives? Rao, she regretted every obsession she had over every celebrity she’d had growing up on Earth. It wasn’t fun when the shoe was on the other foot.

With a deep breath, Kara nodded to David who was yet to get out of the front, it was time to go. The flashes once again brightened as he stepped out, Kara quick to disconnect the carrier from the car with only one prayer she didn’t break one of the mechanisms keeping it in place. Having two others at home for such an occasion wasn’t a reason to break it on the first trip out.

Daughter in one hand and bag on the opposite shoulder, she glanced down at Lara a final time before pulling the shade to cover as much of her as she could. It was the best they had today and if this didn’t go well they’d have to look at doing something else when they had to take her with them. Which until they found who made the bomb would be a while.

David opened the door and flashes increased tenfold, irritating her eyes. Stepping out into the wall of cameras trying to get a glimpse of her was just as bad, especially when they realised she was carrying Lara with her, thank Rao she’d pulled the shade up or Lara would be crying just from the flashes. The only saving grace of the whole thing was the doors to Catco were only ten feet or so from the car and security were already attempting to make a path for her.

Ignoring the shouts from everyone, Kara inhaled, the stale scent of exhaust fumes and the city still strange after so long on Argo. Snapping back to the problem, Kara strode through the gap security had made, gentle with Lara in the carrier as she squeezed through one gap at a barely human speed.
