A/N - Happy New Year! I hope people had a good and safe new year. I cannot believe how much has changed for me in the last year - starting more fics than I can keep up with at times, and finishing the first draft of my own novel that I may put on here at a later date (not sure yet). But I hope you all enjoy this chapter and stick with me as I try to keep up with the ever-growing amount of stories in my head.

Lara's cries sounded through the apartment and had done their entire trip back from the DEO. Lena had gone for a shower and to get changed, leaving Kara with their crying baby in her arms. It shouldn't have been scary, Lara had cried many times after she was born, but since they got back and not like this.
"What's wrong? What has you so worked up?" Whispering, she rocked Lara, hoping the motion would get her to stop crying. Her cries paused for a moment before another louder cry came from her. "How do you hold in so much air to cry like that?"
The green eyes that met hers didn't hold any answers, just stared at her as she cried. It was almost time for Cat to arrive to discuss Catco and have a basic catch-up, but at this rate Lara wasn't going to let them sit down. Kara had hoped not to have to use it, but she walked the two of them into Lara's room and picked up the rarely used pacifier. She was holding it in her spare hand when there was a knock at the door.
"Not yet." Keeping hold of the pacifier, Kara moved through the apartment to let Cat in, Lena a few seconds from being ready. As they got closer to the door, Lara's cries quietened down, not completely, but enough that Cat wasn't assaulted with the noise when Kara opened the door. "Sorry, we're just trying to get her to stop crying."
Kara smiled at Cat apologetically as she walked into the apartment, but Cat waved her off. Smiling, Cat put her handbag on the kitchen counter, draped her coat on one of the hooks with Kara's and Lena's coats and stepped up to Kara. Arms out, she gestured to Lara. "Come here."
Not one to refuse Cat Grant, Kara let the older woman take her crying daughter and as soon as she had her settled in her arms, the crying stopped. Kara's jaw dropped.
"Darling, how did you get her to stop crying?" Lena asked as she moved into the room, head down as she fiddled with the watch on her wrist. Cat cooed at the now smiling baby in her arms, the sound prompting Lena to look up at their guest. "Cat, lovely to see you." She smiled and joined the two of them fully in the main room of the apartment.
Cat glanced up to smile at Lena before looking back down at Lara. "It's lovely to see you too Lena. But I didn't do anything, she just stopped crying." She lifted her free hand to Lara's outstretched hand, Lara instantly grabbing it and trying to shake it. "She is wonderful, congratulations."
Kara moved over to Lena, kissing her temple. "Do either of you want a drink?"
"Some water would be amazing, thank you Lena." Cat didn't even look up from Lara as she spoke.
"Please." Lena let Kara slip from her light hold to grab them all a drink, although Kara thought Cat wouldn't be on water for too long. Quicker than she probably should have been, but by all means not as quick as she could have been.
Placing the glasses on the coffee table, the trio all sat down on the couches, Cat still letting the girl in her arms clutch her finger. "So, what have you two been up to?" The simple question threw Kara and Lena into a fit of laughter each, this wasn't going to be a short conversation. "Other than getting married, revealing on a show not connected to Catco, leaving without a goodbye, and having a beautiful baby girl I mean?" She was smiling, but when Cat said it like that, Kara's laughter died down.
