A/N - Sorry for the late update. I have been so busy I have barely had a chance to write all week. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy this chapter.

Morning broke quicker than the couple had hoped, neither of them prepared for the interrogation that would be Cat Grant's visit. It didn't help that Lara had them up several times during the night, so much so that Kara resigned to bringing her with her and sleeping with her on her chest. The sight had warmed Lena's heart when she woke to find them next to her, silently grabbing her phone to capture the moment on camera.

"That better not appear anywhere but your phone." Kara's voice whispered, the small sound taking Lena by surprise.

She dropped her phone back onto her side table, rolling over to greet her wife's blue eyes watching her. "Where's the fun in that?" Laughing, she curled into Kara's side, finger brushing Lara's cheek as she slept.

The trio stayed like that for a while, drifting off to sleep easily until Lara shifting woke them up, forcing them to get up and face the day ahead of them. Kara feeding Lara while Lena made the two of them breakfast, the sweet smell of pancakes filling the apartment quickly. Blissfully moving through their morning, the pair had not long since finished breakfast when a knock sounded at the door.

"Kara, who is it?" Lena was just wiping her hands, the washing up finally done so she could get ready to meet Cat.

X-raying the door, Kara's face paled slightly at the woman on the other side. "Cat?"

Lena's head snapped up, eyes locking with Kara as they both searched for a clock. "She shouldn't be here for another... now!" Panicked, Lena looked at the sweat pants and oversized t-shirts both her and Kara were wearing, neither of them prepared in the slightest to meet Cat Grant.

"We can't just leave her standing out there." Kara gestured to the door, an idea popping into her head. "One second." In a heartbeat, she was stood in the same sweat pants, but her top was newer and her hair was brushed. "I'll talk to Cat, you get ready."

Pushing her in the direction of their room, Kara waited until Lena was out of sight before going to let Cat in. The woman gave her a look as she saw Kara for the first time in a year, walking into the apartment without a word. Kara tried to push her glasses up her face, fumbling when she realised she still didn't have them on, not having bothered since waking up.

"Miss Grant." Smiling, she hoped Cat didn't pick up on how nervous she actually was, the lack of acknowledgement scaring her a little.

Cat glanced around the apartment as Kara closed the door behind her, eyes lingering on the many baby toys and items dotted around. "You are lucky I like you Keira, not many people ghost me and live to tell the tail."

If Kara had managed to gain any colour back after realising they had lost track of time, Cat's first words to her had her draining again. She knew she'd be mad, but not that mad.

"There is a first for everything Cat, as I'm sure you already know." Lena's voice floated from the hallway, her dressed in jeans and a t-shirt, hair left down as she came into view, baby monitor in hand.

Cat smiled at seeing the CEO. "I do, but I would have thought I'd at least get a goodbye from you both." Lena pulled her into a hug, Cat only allowing one briefly before making Lena pull back.

Laughing softly, Lena motioned to the couch. "If it makes you feel better, no one got a goodbye."

"It does, but it doesn't excuse someone's actions since your return." Cat's gaze slid to Kara as she sat down on Lena's other side, Cat facing them on the next couch. "Instagram live? Really?"
