Getting ready for the day and their interview, Kara's phone rang. "Le, can you pick that up for me please?"
Sitting at the dining room table doing some work on her laptop, Lena spotted Kara's phone on the kitchen counter. Going over, she spotted Cat Grant's name before she picked it up. "Cat?"
"Ah, Lena I was hoping we could change our interview today to a video? It will do better with our rating and be able to get out much quicker than going in the next issue."
Raising an eyebrow, Lena headed towards the bedroom where Kara was just about ready. Pulling the phone back from her ear, she popped it on speaker before continuing, Kara turning around confused. "You could have mentioned this yesterday Cat, it would have made today much easier."
"Perhaps, but you also might have tried to dodge me and we both know I get what I want. So, I'll see you in ten."
Kara was still confused, Lena not giving her any help on what they were talking about but she just listened to her wife talk. "I assume you're bringing a cameraman from Catco with you?"
"Of course."
Frowning, Kara was finally catching on, cutting in before Lena could speak. "Don't, I'll call someone."
She could hear the smile in Cat's voice. "I'll see you in ten." They gave her exactly what she wanted.
Cutting the call off, Lena handed Kara's phone to her, the Super instantly bringing up Alex's number. It only rang once before being answered. "Hey, I need a favour."
"Depends on the favour..."
Looking at Lena again, the CEO nodded for her to continue. "I need to borrow an agent from your team for an hour, preferably one who knows how to work a camera and we trust. Please?" Pouting even though Alex couldn't see it, it still seemed to work.
Alex sighed, pulling the phone away from her ear to talk to someone before addressing Kara again. "Vaskez is on her way over with a standard camera and a blank SD card. I'm not even going to ask why you need her but please don't make me regret sending her to you."
Grinning, Kara nodded at Lena. "Thanks, sis, I owe you."
"I know. I'll talk to you later." Cutting the line off, Kara put her phone away.
"So we're sorted?" Lena asked, moving to stand in front of Kara.
Wrapping her arms around Lena, she nodded. "Of course. Vaskez is on her way with everything we need and if I know Alex - which I do - to keep an eye on us."
Giving her a quick peck, Lena pushed herself out of Kara's hold. "Good. Now we have ten minutes to try and make Lara sleep through this whole interview." Disappearing out of the room, she went to check on Lara, hoping that she was already asleep, which she was. Now the hard part of keeping her that way until Cat leaves.
Ten minutes have never passed so quickly, security letting them know Cat and Vaskez would be on their way up. Everywhere immaculate, Kara hoped that this wouldn't take too long, Lena tapping her fingers on the glass of water in her hand.
"Don't worry, everything is going to be fine."
"You don't know that." Lena half-smiled.
Kara pursed her lips. "Maybe not, but I do know that this is Cat and the interview isn't live so we still have some control over everything."
A knock sounded at the door. Kissing Lena's temple, Kara sped to the door, letting the two women in. "Cat. Vaskez. Welcome."
Strolling in, Cat looked around the apartment, immediately moving to face the couch that broke the kitchen from the lounge area. "This is where we need a camera."
