A/N - One day late on my new attempt at a schedule, but hopefully it will be that last late update... hopefully.

It hadn't been long since Cat left and Lara was sleeping in her room when footsteps sounded on the corridor. Kara knew it was coming, opening the door before the courier could wake her daughter.
"Thank you." Handing him the money and a tip, she took the boxes, closing the door quickly but quietly as quickly as humanly possible. Sniffing the top box, Kara placed them on the counter and went in search of her wife.
Unsurprisingly, she found her in the study, laptop open and papers around her. "Le, dinner is here." Leaning in the doorway, Kara smiled at Lena's absent-minded nod. The action was so familiar, yet foreign after a year. "I can't promise yours will still be on the counter when you finish." Smiling, she didn't think she'd get a response, Lena engrossed in her paperwork.
"It's kale."
Cringing, Kara stopped in her steps towards the kitchen. "Never mind." Deciding to check on Lara while she was in the corridor, Kara opened the door a fraction, her daughter's heartbeat slow and steady but still she needed to see her. Indeed, Lara was asleep, wrapped up in a blanket with her teddy bear clutched in her tiny hands.
Retreating back into the kitchen, Kara opened the top box to a large pizza that did indeed have green on it that wasn't peppers. How can she have kale on pizza? It's against the law, or at least should be.
Putting it off to the side, Kara opened the top of the remaining three pizzas, pepperoni. She licked her lips at the sight of it, the smell making her salivate, combined, Kara was surprised she hadn't started drooling. Looking over at the dining table, Kara picked up the first piece, bringing it to her mouth. Lena would probably kill her, but what she didn't know couldn't hurt her.
Just as she bit into the pizza, moaning at the delicious dish she had missed so much on Argo, a crash sounded.
Jumping, Kara dropped the pizza slice back into the box, practically destroying the artistry of the remaining pizza to find Lena stood in the middle of the room confused. "What?"
Lara started crying. Moving to her wife, Kara found pieces of wood in Lena's hair and looking back to the corridor her suspicions were confirmed. Lying in the middle of the corridor was the door to Lena's study.
"First, let me get Lara and stand here. Okay?" Catching Lena's eye, Kara waited for her to nod before using her speed to reach their daughter's room, coming back at a human pace.
Still standing in the middle of the living room, Lena watched Kara approach her with Lara, her cries having subsided while in the comforting embrace of her Jeju. Seeing the two of them calmed her racing heart, at least until Kara got close and held her out to her.
"No, I'll hurt her." Shaking her head, panic rose in Lena.
Insistent, Kara held Lara out further until Lena had no choice but to take her. "No you won't." Putting her hands on her upper arms, Kara stroked them as she continued. "Now listen to my voice, breathe in slowly," Together they breathed in. "now breathe out slowly." Together they breathed out.
"Great, now focus on Lara, on her heartbeat. It's quick, but it's steady."
A frown appeared on Lena's face. "I can't hear it."
Nodding, Kara caught Lena's eye. "It's okay. Focus on me, on my hands stroking your arms, on my voice." Lena's eyes closed. "Now focus deeper, on the slow and steady beat of my heart." Falling silent, she waited as Lena focused.
