"So this base is the last one. What do you know Kat?" Steve asked as they stood around for a quick briefing

"Sokovia has been known as a research base to most... I don't know what for though but it is the only place left so the sceptre has to be there" Kat explained

"What's the layout like?"

"Sort of like a huge mansion that has been modified. It is close to the actual main part of Sokovia but at the same time just along the outside to keep a distance from the people"

"Any actual details?" Tony asked

"No because I haven't been there since 2005 and they always change the inside to fit whatever they are currently doing" Kat answered

"Alright... suit up and we will improvise" Steve nodded to the team. Kat walked off and she went to her locker, taking her suit out and going to get dressed into it

"Who redesigned this?" Kat shouted after she got dressed

"I did" Tony nodded

"It is good except for the lack of pockets... where am I suppose to put my weapons and gear?" She asked

"You have pockets" Tony said as he showed her the 3 pockets

"3? You really don't know me" She grumbled

"Just get in the damn jet" Tony sighed

"Alright, alright" Kat said as she walked onto the jet

The 7 landed down in Sokovia and started their attack. Kat managed to take down a fair few with Nat and Clint so they had a bunker to use. Katty set up her sniper and she start to shoot as many of the Hydra agents as possible. She didn't realise the two left her until she was thrown on her back and pinned down by something red
"You betrayed them, they're coming for you" The male spoke

"Maximoffs... get lost before the Avengers decide to take you in because we all know you aren't capable of actually helping" Kat grumbled before she felt a sharp pain in her abdomine. She looked down and saw a pieces of metal in her but they were small and the same colour as her suit. She groaned and soon saw Steve coming over to her just after they left. She quickly snapped the obvious metal off so there was hardly any of it visible and she could sort it later

"You okay?"

"Yeah... where did everyone go?" Kat asked

"We got the sceptre, Romanoff is with Banner and Thor on the jet sorting out Barton as he got hit by an enhanced" Steve explained

"Yeah okay my bad... I really didn't think they existed" Kat explained as he helped her up, noticing she was off balance

"Kat?"

"I'm okay... just a small wound" She said as they walked to the jet. Kat walked in first and she found the first seat and slid down into it

"What happened to you?" Bruce asked as he finished keeping Clint comfortable

"I'm fine" Kat said with an angered laugh. Nat noticed and she raised her eyebrow before walking over

"Katarina" She said in a stern tone

"I'm fine, I promise" Kat argued.

They arrived at the compound after a relatively long flight, Nat walked with Clint as they took him to medical. Kat walked out and made her way out and stopped to put her gear away
"Kat, I need a hand quick!" Tony said

"Depends what with" She said

"I need a charge" He said. She rolled her eyes, holding her hand and aiming with her widow bracelet and shot a charge at the thing he was gesturing to
"Thanks"

"Hmm" She mummed as she walked away. Kat got to her room, walked to her wardrobe and grabbed her jumper and sports leggings. As she got to her bathroom, she slowly undone her suit and saw the blood and metal. She grabbed the small med kit from under her sink and she took the tweezers and some towel ready but grabbed another to bite down on. Katty pulled it out and kept pressure on the wound until she started to grab the bandages and put the on. She quickly got her shirt on and left everything in the sink to sort out later.

A few minuets passed and Nat came into the kitchen where Kat went with Steve and Thor
"Kat, what is this?" Nat asked as she showed the blooded towel

"A towel"

"With blood on it" Thor added

"Who's blood is it?" Steve asked

"Mine, it was a small wound it's fine"

"Yeah and last time you said it would be fine you basically died" Nat stated
"Show me"

"No"

"Kat, please" Nat begged. Kat grumbled a little as she lifted her jumper up, only showing half of it to Nat
"Fine... how did it happened?" Nat asked

"The way I was positioned, just got caught. It isn't a big deal, I promise" Kat sighed

"Good. Oh, Tony said there is a party still going ahead in 2 days" Nat added as she took some food from Kats plate

"Rude" Kat grumbled

"That's fine. Oh and we got some new equipment coming to the gym today so mind helping me Kat?" Steve added

"I got nothing planned" Kat nodded as she slapped Nats hand away from her plate.

"Cool, I will alert you when it arrives" He said as he left the room and Nat followed him

"Are you coming to the party?" Thor asked her

"Sure, I would love to go" Kat nodded

"It has been strange without you around you know" He said

"How long have you been back from Asgard?"

"Quite a while... I left Asgard after Loki died and I refused my place on the throne... my mother died as well" Thor nodded

"I'm sorry for your loss" Kat told him

"What have you been upto?"

"Well, I died... I killed people and yeah... pretty weird few years" Kat nodded

"They said you knew about Hydra"

"I did... I had agreements" Kat explained briefly as she finished her food off
