Evangeline was nervous. Like extremely nervous, but she was also extremely excited. She was about to do something she hadn't done in so long. Go on a date. A date with Bucky Barnes. Smiling to herself Evie put the finishing touches on her makeup by smoothing the creamy ruby colored lipstick onto her lips. Biting the inside of said lip she wondered if by the end of the evening it would be smudged against his lips, his throat, his chest..

Shivers of anticipation run up her spine at the idea. Setting the tube of lipstick back down on the bathroom counter Evie looked herself over as she ran her hands over her hips to smooth down her dress. Checking that her hair was looking alright she fluffed the soft messy waves around her face the way Bucky had once told her he liked it. Her eyes drifted down to the new emerald green dress that hugged her upper body and flared out from her waist down to her ankles.

Pepper had helped her pick it out. Things were still a little tense between the two women, but it had calmed down enough that when she had asked the older women to help her find a dress for her first date with Bucky she'd said yes. It had been a tension filled afternoon until Pepper saw how sad Evie was that she wouldn't get to share this experience with her mom. After a mini break down on Evie's part Pepper made a real effort to help the younger woman and spent the rest of their time telling stories about her dad from his more.. enthusiastic days.

Evie was unsure of what they were doing since the choices on where to go were limited for Bucky right now without an escort. So they planned for a night in, but not like any other regular night in. No, tonight was to be treated just like any other kind of date; it would just be at the Tower.

Originally she had asked Bucky out, but he'd told her he wanted to plan it to make it special for her. Giving him this small thing would make him happy so she said yes. The only thing Buck told her was, "I want you to get all dolled up. Just because we can't leave the Tower doesn't mean I don't want to have you in a pretty dress on my arm."

So here she stood in her dad's guest bathroom getting for her date with Buck. It was kind of strange, but sweet in a way that so many people had gone out of their way to help with tonight. Shaking out her nerves Evie slipped on her heels and exited the bedroom to walk out to the sunken living room. Sitting out there on the large L shaped couch was Tony going over some schematic for a secret project he'd just started.

At the sound of her clicking heels he briefly looked up and then back down at the tablet in his hands. Doing a double take he stood up with wide surprised eyes. "Mini, you look beautiful."

Nervous, Evie ran her hands down the long skirt of her dress trying to quell the butterflies in her stomach. "Really, you don't think it's too much?"

Smiling, he held out his hand for her to take so she could carefully walk down the stairs. "It's perfect and I'm sure Bucky will think so too."

He watched as she began to pace, tapping her hands together as her eyes flicked over to the elevator letting her nerves get the better of her. Chuckling he came over, grasped one of her hands in his and spun her out and then back into him as he called out to JARVIS to play some music.

Foreigner's 'Waiting for a girl like you' started playing. Leading them in a moderate version of the waltz Tony looked down at his daughter with pride. She was so beautiful and strong like her mother he'd come to learn. Even three weeks after she'd officially come into his life and he was still having a hard time believing that she was his kid. Not wanting to get too emotional he started cracking jokes to get her to laugh. It was what his dad had done with his mom when she was having a hard day or more likely he'd made her mad.

Twirling around the living room Evie felt her nervousness melt away in her father's arms. It was really hard to stay serious when he was making her laugh so much with his horrible jokes said in a bad British accent. Halfway through the third turn about the room the music quieted pulling their attention to the elevator where Bucky stood smiling at the sight of them.
