Strange morning (Chapter 8)

Karl POV 

"Finally, you take longer then Katie" Chris joked as I shut my door. Today was my first day. Luckily my mom went out and got me what I needed while I was at Jimmy's house.

"You try getting ready when over half your stuff is in boxes." I said as we started walking. "Plus my brother turned off my alarm".

"I'll start barging into your house to wake you up like I do this idiot" Katie said confidently.

"I don't think you need-"

"To late, I'm doing it tomorrow". I sighed.

"You stole my cat and now break into my house, how are you NOT in jail". I said sarcastically. Chris laughed at me and Katie's 'fight'.

"Because people love me" Katie joked.

"It's because she's worse then the death sentence" Chris whispered so only I heard. I laughed a bit and Katie noticed but didn't hear.

"What did you tell him" She asked wanting to know.

"Nothing" Chris said back and Katie shoved him.

"Tell meeee" she said dragging out the e.

"Never" he said as I laughed.

"Karl what he sayyyy" she said trying to get me to tell.

"I can not tell you"

"Pleeeaaassseee, I won't steel your cat again if you tell me" I thought about it.

"You know that's a lie" Chris said.

"I won't steel your cat for a week then"

"That's still a lie" Katie sighed and thought of something. After a moment she got an idea.

"I won't sleep over this weekend" she said seeming proud of herself.

"Is that a threat or an offer" I asked laughing slightly.

"Depends, which do you want it to be?" She asked.

"Offer" me and Chris both said at the same time, causing her to hit Chris's arm as we all busted out laughing.

"You guys are assholes" she said through laughs.

"Why'd you only hit me" Chris asked once we all stopped laughing.

"Because your next to me, he's not, plus you said and I quote 'Wait at least a few days before you start embarrassing Karl'". She said and mocked Chris's voice. He shoved her a bit.

"I do not sound like that" he defended. "And I said embarrass, not attack".

"Hey your meant to be in my side"

"Says who". I looked at Katie.

"He said 'It's because she's worse then the death sentence'". Katie then gave Chris a mischievous glare.

"Worse then the death sentence" she asked in a mischievous tone. "You'll regret that"

"Karl, you traitor, now she's plotting" Chris joked as I tried to not laugh at the two.

"Shouldn't of said she could attack me".

"Fuck you". Chris said. The three of us continued joking around until we got to school.

Chris Pov

"Wow, this place is huge" Karl said once we walked into school. The school had three floors to it and tons of rooms.

"Yea, get used to running" Katie said and Karl looked slightly confused.

"The way the schools laid out, it's causes you to have to be on all three floors". I explained. "Science and history classes are in the third floor, Math and English classes are in the second, and all electives are on the first floor".
