Chris POV
"Did y'all hear the announcements" Katie asked excitedly while we walked home.
"Not really" both me and Karl said. We really need to stop doing that.
"Well proms coming up idiots" Katie said. "It's next Saturday"
"Wait really" Karl asked, sounding surprised. Katie nodded.
"I'm so exited for it" she said. "It's gong to be amazing".
"Your way to over exited for a dance" I joked and she rolled her eyes. "Whats got you this exited anyways".
"I plan to ask a certain someone out" Katie said. "She's so pretty and cool"
"Who" Karl asked, wanting to know.
"A girl named Riley" Katie said. "Although I don't know if she's gay or not and I don't know how to ask since I've hardly talked to her".
"Does she have long Curley hair, around your height, brown eyes, slight tan, covered in freckles" Karl asked and Katie nodded.
"Yea, have you talked to her before".
"I haven't but I think she's friends with Clay" he said. "She was asking him earlier about him being gay and said she'd see him around, plus they were talking in the lunch line".
"See if Clay has her number" Katie asked. "She seems so cool but I can hardly talk to her". Karl took out his phone and texted Clay.
"Is this the girl you kept rambling about for the last month" I asked and Katie nodded.
"She is so cool and so Damn pretty" Katie said. "I've only talked to her a couple times but she's very energetic like me but she's also pretty calm and knows a lot, she's a tomboy and a badass one to-" Katie continued rambling about Riley and how bad she wanted to ask her to prom when Karl spoke.
"I asked Clay and he said she's lesbian" once he said that Katie put her arms in the air.
"Hell yea" she said excitedly. "Ask him if she's single".
"You know, if It wasn't for her knowing he's gay she'd definitely think he was hitting on her" Karl said and went back to texting Clay.
"Your really flipping out about this girl, huh" I asked and Katie nodded.
"Chris I'm telling you she's perfect" Katie said. "If you and him weren't so close, you'd definitely like her to" she said, the him referring to Karl.
"How much have you talked to her".
"A couple times, we have chemistry and Algebra 2 together but in chemistry I'm normally working with Maddy and she's working with one of her friends". Katie said. "But we sit next to each other in algebra and we'll pass notes back and forth when her one friend isn't there".
"Is her friend mean or something".
"It's Maria" Katie said sounding slightly disgusted. "I don't get how there friends but they are".
"I don't get that either, Maria's a bitch".
"I know, I swear I hate her guts" Katie said and Karl spoke.
"Clay said she's single and she wants to know who's the girl trying to flirt with her" Katie went red.
"Tell her it's Katie Farquhar from her algebra and chemistry class" I said.
"No don't do that" Katie said but Karl started typing. "Karl Give Me The Phoneeee".
"We're getting you a girlfriend" he said as Katie tried to get the phone as Karl typed. Karl started running and she went after him.
