Chapter 13

SERENA'S POV

I made a promise to Nate not to see Chase but I broke it. And what worse? I let him paint me. OMG what was I thinking. I wondered as I drove back home. I manage to sneak from my guards again.

I knew Nate would find out, well I would be a dead soul. The ball mom asked me to attend with her made me think if it was the same ball Chase was hosting.

I arrived home and headed upstairs to mom's room. I needed to speak to her.

"Mom" I said as I barged in.

"Serena you are finally home" Wow she was in a very elegant dress.

"Mom. Wow you look incredible" she beamed and said "I chose this for the ball"

"Elegant" I praised.

"I also bought for you a dress." She picked up a bag and took a dress form it.

"Mom, you didn't have to" she said "Oh come on, you have to look amazing too"

I shook my head, my mom was very extra. I took the dress and it was really cute. It was all black and had gold shimmers on it.

"Thank you mom" she smiled.

"By the way mom, you didn't me the details of the ball. Where is this held?" she took a card and handed it to me. I gasped as I read it, it was the same ball Chase talked about.

I was puzzled why Morgana sent an invitation to my mom. She must be up to something. That bitch.

"Are you okay" mom asked.

"Of course mom" I lied.

"Go on and try your dress" she said and I smiled before leaving.

I went to my room and gritted my teeth "What are you up to Lady Morgana" I sighed.

I took my phone from my purse and my heart clenched, ten miscalls from Nate and 3 good messages from him. Jesus lord I panicked.

"Hey babe pick up the phone. I miss you"

"Where are you love?"

"Please call me as soon as possible"

I tried to call him but he wasn't available.

So I sent him a message saying "Hey love, I am sorry. Please call me up when available. I miss you too" I sighed and went for a shower.

NATE'S POV

I kept punching off the punching bag in the gym. I was so angry, how could she do that again? Did she think that I wouldn't find out just because I am not with her? She has no idea that I have people looking out for her from a distance.

So she ignored my calls just because she was busy with that douchebag of a son. Serena you are playing with me aren't you?

I punched and punched the bag venting out all the anger within me.

I screamed "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhgh fuck you Chase" no one was in the gym but me.

I was already back in the Philippines and I wanted to surprise her but she ignored me. Brian my driver came inside and he cringed as he saw me sweating.

"What is the matter this time?" he asked.

"I am going to kill someone" I punched the bag with all my might. It ripped open.

"Damn that was a hard blow bro" he widened his eyes.

"Serena is getting on my nerves. I better not meet her or else I might hurt her" Brian shook his head "Calm down Nate. I am sure she has reasons why she went to meet him. You should listen to her side of story other than assuming"
