Chapter 17

NATE'S POV

I eloped her in arms and she sobbed on my chest. It was a magical moment. I rubbed her tears the moment she calmed down and I looked straight into her eyes. I stared at her inviting lips, I couldn't hold myself I pressed my lips on hers. She responded to my sudden invasion with equal favor. Those lips! Its feels like a decade since I last kissed her. I love her so much! I miss her so bad!. I kissed her hungrily and she moaned as we kissed.

"This is your captain speaking..." fuck the captain! She suddenly withdrew from the kiss and starred at me as if I have offended her.

"That shouldn't have happened" she stated and looked away through the window.

"Please fasten your seatbelt ready to take off, we wish you a safe flight" shit! The plane was going off!

"Serena please! Come back to me I need you! I am sorry" I told her as I reached for her hand and made her turn to look at me.

"Nate you need to go, you don't have to come with me, I need my alone time to figure this out! I want you to recover and be happy okay?" what! Was she really serious about that? How can I recover when she is not with me.

I thought for a moment and I decided to give her space. No matter how much it hurt.

"Always remember that I love you, take good care of yourself okay?" I said and leaned on her and kissed her forehead.

"Good bye Nate" she said with a cracked voice and turned to face the window again. She didn't want to look at me.

I took that as my cue to leave! i stood up and walked towards the front. Luckily the plane hadn't start yet so I had the chance to get out. The steward was stubborn to let me out but I told her that I forgot something important and she let me out.

The moment I stepped out of the plane, it started to move along the runway and I looked at it as it took off. She is gone! I may probably not see her in a few months but I had to give her time to reminisce.

6 MONTHS LATER (3RD PERSON POV)

Nate had managed to find the culprit who drew Serena's painting and he was behind bars. The guy was forced to confess who sent him but he didn't speak a word. Few days later after they captured him, he was found dead.

Lady Morgana was very smart, she was the one who ordered for the man to be killed so that her involvement could not be known yet.

On the other hand Chase had been doing a great job in taking care of Luna's pregnancy and he has even prepared a room for the baby, he is so excited to welcome his son in a few months to come.

Nate has been missing Serena terribly but he knew that Serena would come back some day. He would always get information about her from a personal bodyguard he had hired to look after Serena. He still loves her much.

Serena on the other hand, has been doing great and she misses home, especially Nate. She realized no matter what happened between her and Nate, still her love for him will never die. She would ask about him to her mother on how Nate was doing and she was proud of Nate for cleaning her reputation and she couldn't wait for her to be home and thank him.

SERENA'S POV

"We are here ma'am welcome back home?" I heard my driver speak to me as the car came to a halt. He went out of the car and opened up the door for me. Opps being six months but just feels like a decade.

Everything looked the same, I walked towards the entrance door while my driver helped me carry the luggage.

The waiter opened up the door and she smiled upon seeing me. She ushered me inside and I asked her for my parents. I hadn't told them that I was going to come today.
