Chapter 9

NATE'S POV 

"So now I am the drama king?" I smirked. She scoffed unbelieving of what I just said.

"What are you insinuating. As far as I am concerned I am not a drama queen either"

I laughed and walked towards her making her walk backwards until her body hit the back of my car.

"Nate stop" she put her hands in front of me as a shield not to go near her. But that never worked I pinned her against the car with my hands and she closed her eyes.

"Please stop" she whispered.

"Why didn't you tell me about this woman who wants to destroy your family?" she opened her eyes and her mouth agape.

"Nate...ho,,,, how the hell did you find out about this, whoa so now you are stalking me?" she spat.

"The question is why you don't trust me enough to tell me about it. You have no idea how worried I am. I don't want anything bad to happen to you. God knows how much I love you Serena. And you know what hurts the most? It's you lying to my face" She was in tears then and I felt my heart breaking seeing her crying.

As a gentle men I was I took my hands and rubbed her tears with my fingers. I cupped her face and gave her a forehead kiss.

"I am so sorry my love. I am really sorry. I just didn't want to worry you. Not that I don't trust you. I trust you and I love you so much. So much that I would rather die than losing you. Do you really get it?" she bit my chest with her feats while sobbing but they didn't even hurt me like how my heart felt. I forced her into a hug and she seemed to calm down.

I patted her back and she wetted my shirt with her tears. After a while she looked at me in the eyes and cupped my face. Damn she looked cute with those puffy eyes. When was she even ugly I tried to recall but I couldn't spot the time she was ugly. She was surely a heaven sent.

"It is okay Serena no one will dare put a hand on you. I promise you" I said while cupping her cheeks before giving her a chaste kiss.

I took her to my home and made her drink a cup of coffee to make her relax. I laid her on bed and covered her with the bed sheets. Before I left her she held my hands

"Thank you so much Nate" she said smiling.

"It is my responsibility to make sure you are fine"

"I am so lucky to have you. I love you"

"I love you so much Serena" I kissed her forehead.

She closed her eyes dozing off.

CHASES' POV

I was waiting at the airport for her arrival. Its been a while since we last saw each other and I miss my mom so much. Ever since my father passed away my mom was depressed and she needed therapy. I hired a team of experts to look after her in America while I decided to go to the Philippines for the charity ball which I always attended since I was 15 years.

I became a painter and I was so proud of how I could use my painting skills to raise funds for the needy. Every ball I conducted was for the needy. I met Serena in the Philippines and I was captivated by her beauty.

She was a gorgeous angel living on earth, smart and well mannered. I swore to never give up on her even if she was in love with that good for nothing bastard. I had a feeling that Nate will eventually hurt her and I was waiting for that perfect moment to strike in.
