Chapter 7

SERENA'S POV

Today was the day that I will be attending the gala with Nate. I just finished to put on my makeup and did one last check before grabbing my clutch and leaving the room.

I sighed as I saw Nate waiting for me outside. Woah he looked breathtaking as always. I wondered if there is any day that he looked shaky.

I smiled as I approached him.

"You are so cute tonight" he said as he gave me a kiss on my cheeks.

"I can't kiss you on the lips I might ruin your perfect lippie" he commented. I blushed hard and beat his chest playfully.

"Thank you for being considerate. You look ravishingly handsome my love" I told him as I fixed his suit properly.

"Thank you, baby" he said before kissing my forehead.

"Shall we"!? He asked for my hand and off we left.

At the gala, we got our cards checked and were ushered to sit inside. The room was filled with extremely rich people and celebrities as well. I smiled as Nate came to hand me a drink. My caring man

"Thank you baby" I told him.

"Its my pleasure" he said. We drank in one gulp.

"Look who we have here" I heard a voice behind me. And I turned to meet Chase in his black tuxedo. Looking really cute.

"Hey Chase" I stood up.

"I am glad you made it" he said hugging me.

I barely hugged him back because I didn't want to make a scene.

"I came along with my date. I hope you won't mind" I told him.

"Of course no. Hey buddy" he greeted Nate.

"Hey" Nate replied in a dry voice.

"I will leave you two I need to attend to some other guests. Enjoy " he said before leaving us.

"Was it necessary for him to hug you like that?" Nate stated .

"Oh please don't start. He was just being friendly hun" I commented.

"Okay I hope so"

"Oh baby don't be so jealous." I teased.

"Its hard to be especially when you have a beautiful woman like you"

"Awe" I blushed. He then kissed my hand.

The gala kept on nicely, more guests arrived and it reached the tome for the auction.

The paintings were displayed one by one and the interested people auctioned for them. None of them caught my heart until it came to one of the drawings.

" ladies and gentlemen. Here is our precious drawing for the night"

All eyes focused on the man. The drawing was presented open and I gasped to what I saw. What? My face?

It was me in the drawing. I looked so cute I wondered how he managed to draw me like that.

"Nate look at that" I said squeezing his hands.

" I am going to kill him" Nate said.

"What no . Its beautiful I am going to buy"

"I will. I cant let anyone take it" Nate said and stood up immediately.

"I will have the drawing for a 500,000$" he commented. All people gasped and the spotlight was focused on him. He was the first person in the room to pledge such a huge amount. The last amount went up-to 100,000$.
