Chapter Two

Gabriela's POV

It's been a week since the twins started school and they're in the mix of not wanting to go but also is just going for their friends. That's what they told me so I just said ok.

"Mommy we got an invitation from Ava. Do you remember who she is?" Madison asks "Yes baby I do and didn't you say she's new?" I asked "Yes and I'm her first friend but she called me her best friend and as her best friend I have to be at her party." She says

"Ok Maddy I understand you know I have one too." I say "I know it's auntie Angie." She says "Is she here?" Matthew asks "Yes she is and I found this one." Angelina says as Grace comes in too and hug me.

"I ran away they tried to get me to meet some boy." She says "You can stay here as long as you want." I say "This is why I love you" she says hugging me before going upstairs.

"So how's it going?" I asked Angie "Good still making that money there's this rich old man who comes in every Friday. He's buck load rich so he's the highlight of my week." She says as she shows me her bag with all her money in it.

"Go ahead the washing machine is free." I say "You're the best" she says before going to the laundry room and I put the garlic bread in the oven then drain the noodles for spaghetti. "You know you should come see me dance there be some hot girls there." She says

"I'm married in case you forgot." I say "Yeah but you also told me that Micah don't care if you simp over girls. Plus you won't be there for them you'll be there to support me because I'm the best friend you ever had." She says

"Also the only friend other than Micah." Grace says and I throw a cloth at her and she laughs. "It's true your other "friends" only used you to make them look better." She says and I agreed

"Anyway you do know the first person they'll look to is me right?" I asked her "Can you lie for me please? I don't wanna be forced into something I don't want, I wanna be free." Grace says "Okay I will" I say then make their plates.

"Mommy can we make cupcakes after dinner?" Matthew asks "Sure and maybe we'll even save some for daddy." I say and they nod "So how's school so far?" I asked Grace "Annoying because I have to go." She says "That used to be us" Angelina says "Yeah but I wanna finish school and go to college so I can prove to mom and dad that I don't need a man in my life." She says

"I should inspire to be more like you." I say "Please I learn everything I know from you and Angie." She says "The bad things from Angie" I say and they laughed "Mommy we're done." The twins says "Okay go wash your hands then pick out the cake mix for the cupcakes." I say and they run away from the table as my phone rings.

"Hello?" I asked "Where is she?" My dad asks angrily "Who?" I asked "Don't play dumb with me where's your sister?" He asks "I don't know try checking her friends houses or maybe your sister's." I say "I know she's there with you, put her on." He says "Wait what did you say?" I asked "Pu-" "I can't hear you say it again." I say "Gabri-" I hung up the phone before he finished.

"He's blowing up my phone too pretending to be mom." She says "Did you turn your location off?" Angie asks "Yeah" she says "It's too quiet. Madison and Matthew!" I say and they run in the room with two boxes of red velvet cake mix.

"We picked the cake mix and got the stuff." Matthew says "You argued over it didn't you?" Grace asks "No surprisingly" Madison says then Grace go help them make the cake. "The next time Micah have a business trip you're coming to watch me then we're going to the club that's a few blocks down and partying." Angelina says

"Okay" I say "Did my ears hear it correctly and you said 'okay' or am I just delusional?" She asks and I laughed "I need a break for a night lets just hope someone might be available." I say as we get the dishes off the table and go in the kitchen

"So we decided to make cakes instead of cupcakes. Mostly because we don't have cupcake liners." Grace says with cake mix on her face and the twins laughed before licking the spoons.

"Make sure you save me some" Grace says as she put the cake pans in the oven. "You got the bowl" Madison says so we lick the mix from the bowl then cleaned the kitchen and dishes.

"I'm going to get in the shower" I say before going upstairs. When I got upstairs to my room I stripped and got in a nice hot shower. When I walk back in my room I caught Grace red handed trying to steal my shirt. "Come on Gabby just let me wear it for school tomorrow please?" She asks

"Okay now go so I can get dressed." I say "Thank you" she says before leaving the room. After I get dressed in my pajamas I go downstairs and get me a piece of cake with ice cream. "Hey baby" Micah says as he kiss my cheek "Hey how was work?" I asked

"I had a stressful day what about you?" He asks "The library was kinda crowded today but these new books came in and I had to reorganize an entire bookshelf. So fun" I say and he laughed "You know nobody asked you to do that." Angie says

"And that's exactly why I'm the highest paying worker at the library." I say "Micah when's your next business trip?" Angie asks "I don't know yet, why?" He asks "Because I asked her to go clubbing with me and she said yes." She says

"Is this our Gabriela?" He asks feeling my head "Shut up I just need a break for a night and I just don't wanna be in the house reading." I say "Aw our little Gabriela wants to be an extrovert for a night." Micah says "I didn't say that" I say

"Well too bad because that's what you're going to do." Angie says "Is the twins sleep?" I asked her and she nods then look at the time "I'm going to go home I'll see you guys next week." She says getting her stuff then hug us bye and leave.

"You want the rest?" I asked and he eat the rest of my cake "I'm off tomorrow so I'll pick up the kids and go grocery shopping." He says and I nod then we go upstairs and check on the kids, they're all sleep.

"Come on you had a stressful day and need to relax." I say pulling him to our room and locking the door.
