Chapter Seven

Gabriela's POV

I wake up to the sun shining on my face and a empty bed. "Good you're up now, I made us breakfast." Athena says as she hands me a plate "Thank you" I say as we start eating in the comfortable silence "Your friend said that your marriage was complicated when she sent me over to you.

Not that I wasn't gonna go over to you anyway." she says "Yeah me and my best friend Micah was forced to be married because my dad couldn't deal with the fact that I came out as lesbian." I say

"I'm sorry you had to go through that" she says as she place her hand over mine "It's kinda my fault because I knew they was strictly Catholic, well my dad I don't think my mom cares that much." I say before I take a piece of pancake in my mouth "I'm sorry but this is so good" I say and she laughed "I like to make pancakes from scratch sometimes." she says and I nod

"I'm used to box pancake mix but back to my parents, my dad likes to be in control and my mom just lets him because she's not the type to sit there and argue over stupid stuff which my dad loves to do. So now my dad is trying to corrupt my little sister and marry her off before she have time to fully figure her life out but she's not having that so she escapes to my house.

But now she's grounded for it." I say "At least it was worth it" she says "Yeah I had her at my house for a month until our father came to my door." I say "So you said at the library you have a daughter was that forced too?" she asks "By my dad yes, every time we saw him he would nag and nag. So we got sick of it and now we have twins one boy one girl." I say

"Do you think he'll try to do to them what he did to you?" she asks "I would say no but I stopped trusting my father since 15. But he knows if he tries he wouldn't see my kids again and I would hate to see them grow up without their grandfather but I don't want them to turn out like him." I say "That's understandable" she says before we continue eating.

Now Angelina just picked me up "So how was your night?" She asks "So that's what I've been missing out on?" I asked "So I can tell you loved it." She says and I laughed "Yeah but I mean me and Micah are still married and I just had an affair." I say and she sighed

"He don't deserve that even if we didn't choose this." I say "I know but did you tell Athena that?" She asks "Yeah and she understands and she gave her number so we can talk about more books." I say "Or if you changed your mind" Angie says "Shut up" I say "I'm just saying" she says as she parks in the driveway.

"How was your night?" Grace asks as we walk in the door "Ain't you grounded?" Angie asks "Yes but I snuck out" she says "Why?" I asked "I'm playing Gabs. I told dad I was coming here and he can't stop me and he surprisingly let me go." She says "I'm happy to see you" I say as I hug her

"I'm happy to see you too" she says "So any person you're interested in?" I asked "I think I don't know, I gotta figure out my feelings and I wanna tell you when we actually get in a relationship if we do." She says "Okay" I say as I answered my phone

"Good morning sweetheart" Micah says "Good morning" I say "How was your night last night?" He asks "Eventful and I had fun" I say "That's good. Where's the kids?" He asks "Still with your parents or maybe on their way. Your mom said she'll drop them off after they ate breakfast since they wanted to come home." I say

"Ok well I should be home either Tuesday or Wednesday." He says "Okay when you know tell me so I can have dinner cooked." I say "Ok" he says then I hang up as the door bell rings.

"Hi Mommy" Matthew says "Hey Matty you had fun with your grandparents?" I asked and he nods, hug Iris, then run in the house. "She fell asleep in the car" Iris says as Madison hug me "Thank you again" I say "Honey don't worry about." She says kissing Madison's cheek before leaving.

"Was you up all night?" I asked her "No" she says "Matthew?" I asked "I don't know I was sleep." He says "Are you lying to me?" I asked him "No" he says "Okay" I say as they cuddle me.

"Are you guys ready for your friend's party next week?" Grace asks them "Yes you wanna see my costume?" Madison asks as she jumps up "Yes of course" Angelina says so she runs upstairs.

"When is daddy coming home?" Matthew asks "He said either Tuesday or Wednesday do you wanna call him?" I asked "Later" he says and I nod then Madison comes back down in her Cat woman costume.
