Chapter Three

Gabriela's POV

I wake up to darkness it's that time of year where it's a slower sun rise, the air is getting colder, and it's spooky season. I canceled all my alarms before they had a chance to go off.

I noticed Micah's spot was empty I checked to see if I accidentally pushed him off the bed again but he wasn't there. "There you are" I say as I see him flipping a pancake "Today's my day off remember?" He asked "Oh right" I say as I drink some water.

"I thought I pushed you off the bed." I say "Almost" he says then I look at the time "I'm going to wake up the kids." I say but he was humming some song as I went upstairs "Matthew wake up sweetheart." I say as I turn on his light "5 more minutes" he says as he cover himself.

"Listen the quicker you get up and get ready for school the more time you have to go back to sleep." I say which makes him get up and start picking his outfit. Now onto Madison and she was harder to wake up "Maddy" I say lightly shaking her.

"Mhm?" She hummed "Wake up honey it's time for school" I say "I don't want to." She says "Your dad made your favorite breakfast" I say "Pancakes?" She asks jumping up "Yes" I say then she go to her closet.

"Grace are you up?" I asked as I open her door "Yeah just doing my make up." She says "Don't hide your beauty" I say before going to get dressed. I decided to wear a cream colored blouse, wide leg pants, my black Jimmy Choo shoes, and my black purse.

"You look beautiful" Micah says handing me my plate "Thank you." I say kissing his cheek before eating.

Now everyone is ready to go so we go to the door and when I opened it I found my angry father. "Hi grandpa" the twins say "Hey kiddos are you going to school?" He asks as me and Grace roll our eyes "Yes, mommy can grandpa take us to school?" Matthew asks "I'll think about it go wait in the living room while I talk to him." I say and they run to the living room.

"What do you want?" I asked "I'm taking my daughter home." He says about to grab Grace but I stopped him "Don't touch her" I say "You don't tell me what to do with my daughter." He says "Yeah but you came to my house interrupting our morning." I say

"Well I'm taking her back home or I'll call the police on you." he says "You're kidding, all because she don't want to go home with you?" I asked and he nods "Gabby leave it I'll go home I don't wanna to get you in trouble." Grace says and the sperm donor was about to grab her

"She's going to school and I'm taking her and I'll drop her home." I say before calling the twins "Your grandpa can't take you to school today go get in the car." I say and they go "You need to leave before I call the cops." I say as I lock the door and me and Grace get in the car

"I'll probably be grounded for some time." Grace says "Here I got your backup phone fixed." I say giving it to her "You're the best" she says "Just make sure to call me." I say and she nods

Now I'm at work and I took a moment to just breathe. "Stressful morning with the twins?" Brandon asks, he's my favorite coworker "No they was angels it's my mother's sperm donor." I say "What did he do now?" He asks "He threatened to call the cops on me just because Grace didn't want to go home." I say

"You're letting her go home?" He asks "I didn't want to cause I don't know when I'll be able to see her again because she'll be grounded. But I did give her the extra phone I got her a year ago." I say "Good" he says before we start working.

Right now it's 12 and I'm just organizing the new books that came in. "Heads up hot woman coming your way" Brandon says and I playfully hit him then there was a tap on my shoulder so I turned around and boy was she hot.

She had dark brown hair, light chocolate brown eyes, pink plumb lips, an- my thoughts were interrupted by Brandon nudging me in my side. "How may I help you?" I asked the now smirking customer but she stopped before she started talking.

"I would like to know where can I find the children books at." She says "Come I'll show you" I say as I start walking with her a couple steps behind me. As we walked to the kid's section her eyes was getting wide as she looked around the big bookstore.

"Are you new here?" I asked her "Yeah I just moved here. What gave it away?" She asks "This is a popular bookstore and people come here often so they're not really amazed with it that much. But if they are they're usually new or just love to live in the house." I say and she nods

"So this is the kid section, are you looking for anything specific?" I asked "I don't really know my niece is turning 7 and she loves reading." She says and I show her the type of books Madison likes "My daughter love these books your niece might like them too." I say

"Thank you" she says "No problem" I say before going back to Brandon. "You was totally checking her out" he says "She's hot" I say and he laughed. Then she come back with a basket of books "This will be heaven for my niece." She says and I laughed a little before ringing up her books "Is that it?" I asked

"Um do have the Irresistibly Bound collection by Anna Stone?" She asks "Oh yes Gabby read all of them twice." Brandon says "Ain't you supposed to be on your lunch break?" I asked him "No not really" he says and I roll my eyes before going to the back to get her the whole collection.

After I rang up everything and put it in a bag she left and I turned to Brandon. "I hate you" I say "You love me." He says laughing

Now I'm home "Mommy!" The twins says as they run to me. "Hey babies how was school?" I asked "Good and we passed our spelling tests." Matthew says as they show me "Come on lets hang it up on the fridge." I say so they pull me to the kitchen and I put it on there for them.

"How was work?" Micah asks as he checked on whatever he was cooking "Good and I found someone who likes Anna Stone books like me." I say "That's nice you should've got their number so you can blab to them instead of me." He says playfully and I giggled a little "I found out when I leave it's next week Friday and I already called around.

My parents will watch them so you and Angie can have your girl's night." He says "Hey I'm a girl I wanna go" Madison says "Me and auntie Angie are going to do adult stuff but later on we can have our own girl's night with movies and some friends." I say

"Yay" she says "What about me Maddy?" Mat asks "It's a girl's night though. Oh Daddy you and Mat can have a boy's night." She says "Ok we will" Micah says "But for now me and Matthew are going to watch movies." She says

"Did you finish your homework?" I asked "Yup and daddy checked" Matthew says before they run upstairs and I organize my books.
