Gabriela's POV

"Mommy come on" Matthew says pulling "Matthew you're never happy to go with us to the library. Are you two up to something?" I asked and he looks at Madison "No we're not" Madison says "I have a crush on Ava." Matthew says

"Aw that's adorable but how do you know she'll be there?" I asked "She said that her mom is driving her there right now see." Madison says showing me "Okay come on" I say "Bye Daddy." Madison says kissing Micah's cheek "See you later baby girl" he says then we leave.

"You didn't say bye to daddy" Madison says to Matthew says "I did plus we'll see him later it's not like we won't see him ever again." He says as they get in the car

"Ava said that they're in the kids section." Madison says as they both pull me to the kids books where I see Ava and Athena. "I thought you abandoned me" Athena says "Abandon you?" I asked "You asked to meet" she says then I looked at the twins.

"We're going to go find books now" Ava says before they run off. "So I guess you didn't want to talk to me" Athena says "Not yet but we can talk now." I say "You don't have to" she says "I want to but not here we got eyes on us." I say looking at the kids and they hid so we go to my office.

"I already told you how my childhood went and how me coming out affected me. But that's not an excuse I'm a grown woman and I can't let my father control my life anymore especially if I'm trying to teach my kids that it's okay to love whoever you love.

Athena you're so amazing and you make me feel so many feelings that I'm scared to express them because of judgement. Athena I do love you but this is all new for me and I don't wanna do anything wrong." I say then I feel her wipe my tears

"I know you're scared but you're not scared of the world because everyday someone is judge us because we're not white like them or fit into society standards. You're scared of your father's judgement because you grew up on it and you're used to it but I wanna help you through it if you'll allow me.

And you can't do nothing wrong because we'll be learning together and learning from each other." She says "Together" I say holding her hand and she nods "Gabriela will you grant me the pleasure of being your girlfriend?" She asks "Yes" I say and she kissed me softly as I put my hands in her hair.

"It might take some time to help me" I say "I don't care how long it'll take as long as we're together." She says "I fell like a poser Grace thinks I'm her strong sister that got over our father's mind control." I say

"You are her strong sister and if you was under your father's mind control our first night together would've never happened. So you are over it there's just a little piece in your head that's stopping you." She says and I nod "We should go back to those trouble makers" I say and we gave me a quick kiss "Okay now I'm ready." She says and I laughed then we leave the office

"Mommy" I hear Matthew say "Yes Matthew" I say "We're lost." Madison says so I turn on the lights and follow the sound of their voices. "Got lost trying to be nosy?" Athena asked playfully "No" they say "Are you guys together?" Ava asked

"Yes" we say "Yay" they say and we laughed at them. "Did you pick out books?" I asked "Yeah Brandon had them on the counter waiting for us." Matthew says so we go out and pay "See you later love birds" Brandon says "Bye Brandon." I say

"Call me later" he says before we leave "Come on lets take a picture." Ava says so we do then she send it to us "This is our group chat no else is allowed." Madison says "Fine by me" me and Athena says then we hug Athena and Ava bye.

"Thank you" I say to the twins once we got in the car. "We like Athena and she makes you happy" Matthew says "Did you tell daddy about your plan?" I asked "Yes and you should talk to him." Madison says and I nod then drive off

When we got home the twins ran upstairs as I sit next to Micah. "I heard you was involved in the plan." I say "Gabby you know I love you and I also know this was not meant to be your life. We love each other but it'll only stay at a friendly love and I explained that to the twins because I met someone too." He says

"You did?" I asked surprised and he nods "You know my friend that came over for thanksgiving two days ago?" He asks "Oh my gosh Xavier? He's so amazing for you and he's very funny." I say "I met him in September on my trip and we started as friends just like you and Athena but I knew that you was scared and was thinking of the kids." He says

"I just wasn't accepting it because of my father." I say "Yeah I know which is why I always made you do something that I knew he would disapprove but now you did this on your own and I'm proud of you." He says hugging me "Where do we go from here?" I asked

"Well we can keep up the front and pretend to be married until you're ready to come out again to your parents." He says and I nod "But I do got the divorce papers" he says "And we can finally go back to our life before and just add the twins." I say and he laughed "Yeah" he says

"Are we still having Christmas here?" Madison asks "Yes we are" I say "Who's coming?" Matthew asks "Your grandparents, maybe Angie if she don't go to her parents house, Grace and that's it. Just something small." Micah says "Can Xavier, Athena, Artemis, and Ava come over if they can?" Matthew asks "And Leah?" Madison adds

"Yeah we'll see if they can come." I say "Lets watch a movie" Madison says as her and Matthew sits on me and Micah then we put on a movie and cuddled.
