Gabriela's POV
It's the middle of January and Grace says that dad is back in the house so I guess he somewhat accepted it but we can never know what that man is up to. Me and Micah made arrangements that the twins live with me and Athena and he gets them whenever he wants them. But they're staying with him and Xavier because we're waiting for the stuff for their rooms to come in.
"Hey Gorgeous" Athena says as she walks in the room "Hello my beautiful girlfriend." I say as I hug her and she laughed before kissing my cheek "I love you." She says "I love you too" I say before we get dressed for work
"Brandon said that a new shipment just came in so send me your book list." I say to her "I thought I shared it with you" she says so I check my notes "You did" I say "Have fun at work." She says "You too" I say before I get in my car and she in hers.
"There's my little lesbian" Brandon says as he hugs me. "Shut up" I say laughing "How's your life now that it's somewhat back to normal?" He asks "It's good but I'm just nervous for Grace." I say "Well why don't you just adopt her?" He asks "Like that man would agree to that and I can't do that to my mom." I say and he nods
Since it was still morning and people barely came in we was bullshiting around until it started getting crowded. "Grace what happened?" I asked as I answer my phone "Nothing I'm bored and I'm wanting for dad to come pick me up so we can go to my appointment." She says
"What appointment?" I asked "Dentist" she says "Call me if anything happens." I say "You know I will Gabby, I have to go I see his car." She says before hanging up "Is everything okay?" Brandon asks "Yeah that was just Grace telling me she's going to the dentist." I say
"When is your mom coming back?" He asks "She should be on her way back and flying in tonight or tomorrow." I say and he nods then we go on our break
"What should we eat today?" Brandon asks "I want a Cuban sandwich" I say "That sounds good come on" he says so we go in the store and get us some sandwiches.
"Ooh your bae is calling you" he says and I roll my eyes as I answer which made him laugh. "Guess where I'm at" Athena says "You just started your break so where?" I asked "Me and Leah are decided to go to Make My Cake." She says so I look in the window and see them and she waved.
"You could've just said you saw me" I say as I hug her "But that's so plain" she says and I laughed. "I'm trying to eat my cake in peace" Leah says "Whatever" I say "Since your mom is coming back us and the twins should make her cake." Athena says "We should and speaking of my mother" I say as my phone rings.
"Hey Mom" I say "Hi Gabriela my plane was delayed so I'm be home tomorrow. Can Grace stay with you until I'm home? She should be out of school by now." She says "Out of school? She told me that dad was taking her to a dentist appointment." I say
"She doesn't have a dentist or any appointment today." She says "Mom I'll call you back" I say before hanging up and calling Grace. I kept calling her but it went straight to voicemail "What's wrong?" Athena asks "I think Grace might be in trouble." I say
"Don't she have another phone?" Brandon asks "Right" I say then call her other phone. "Hello?" "Grace thank God you answered, where are you?" I asked "Dad had to stop to fill up the gas so we're going to be late to my appointment." She says "Grace you don't have an appointment" I say "How do you know?" She asks
"Mom told me, Grace you need to get out of there." I say "Okay" she says "Grace where are you going?" I heard our Dad asks "To the bathroom" she says "Who are you on the phone with?" He asks "Mom" she says "Give me it" "No she doesn't want to talk to you." She says
"Grace just go to the bathroom" I say and it's silent for a couple seconds. "Okay I'm in the bathroom." She says "Do you recognize the area?" I asked "I think so all I know is that the church is a couple blocks away." She says
"I'll meet you there once I know you've escaped." I say then I heard a big bang "Gabriela he's banging on the door I'm scared" she says "Is there any windows?" I asked "They're small I don't know if I fit through." She says then it got silent "He told them that I'm crazy" she says "I'm coming over there" I say as I leave the cake shop.
"Gabriela please hurry" she says as I get in my car "We're coming too." Athena says as they get in the car then I track Grace's phone. "Grace act as normal as you can when they open the door and when you get the chance you have to run." Athena says
"Ok" she says sniffing "They're opening the door" she says "I'm almost there Grace" I say as I pick up the speed a little. "I can't use the bathroom in peace?" She asks "You was talking too long we got worried" "You don't care about me anyway. Get off of me!" She says then the phone hung up "Dammit" I say
Luckily I didn't get pulled over for the speed I was going at and we made it to the gas station safety but it was empty. "Look right there her phone" Athena says so I parked the car and we got out but I went inside.
"Excuse me have you seen this girl?" I asked the worker "Yeah she was here with her father" he says "Did you see where they went?" I asked and he looked at me skeptical "Listen sir she's my sister and I really need to know where they went." I say "She ran off in that direction and he got in the car and went after her I guess." He says
"Thank you" I say before going back to the car "Call the police they headed towards the church." I say and Leah do as we get back in the car and I drive to the church where I see dad's car.
"No I promise she wouldn't go through this." I say before running inside and everything was decorated for a wedding "Gabriela how nice of you to come to your sister's wedding." Joy says "Yes I'm so happy for her, where is she?" I asked her
"She's getting ready but she might need a pep talk from you to feel better." She says and I go to the room "Where's Grace?" I asked "Your father just took her out" Ethan says "Where I have to see her" I say and he looks at me
"You know before she gets married since my mom isn't here to do it." I say and he tells me where to go and I bust open the doors and everyone looks at me. "Who are you?" The old man asks "Nobody important Father please continue." Dad says
"No I won't let you put her through what I've been through." I say as I pull Grace to me and they tried to separate us but Grace knocked down all the candles. "We have to go now" I say as I grab her hand and we run out the room until we was pushed into a closet and I heard the door lock.
"All sinners burn" dad says from the other side as I try to open the door.
