Chapter Thirteen

Athena's POV

"Where was you last night?" Leah asks "On a date" I say "Tell me more." She says as we get some breakfast "Well it was with Gabriela. I took her to this fancy restaurant which the food was absolutely amazing and it wasn't very romantic." "Didn't you tell your sister you'll stay away from her?" She asks

"Artemis said to not have sexual contact with her." I corrected "Same thing you went on a romantic ass date with her. How was she by the way?" She asks stuffing her muffin in her mouth "She's so beautiful as always and so easy to talk to and be myself around." I say

"Be careful it sounds like a love confession." She says "But what if it is?" I asked "Athena I love you but I don't want you to get heartbroken. Before you fall too hard make sure Gabriela has her heart on you too. She's married and I don't want you getting hurt if she chooses Micah." She says getting up

"I'll give you some time to think, see you upstairs." She says before throwing out her stuff and I finish my breakfast before going upstairs. Leah and Artemis is right that I should slow down and figure out my feelings but everything goes out the window when I see Gabriela.

This feels more stronger than what I was feeling for Nia. Plus I was younger when I fell for Nia, it was one of those first love bullshits and you think it's forever but they wind up cheating on you with your best friend. Then that best friend send it to you by "accident" but anyway fuck those bitches.

Today at the hospital it's pretty boring since it's holiday season and everyone is just trying to eat. I used my free time to read some books "It's pretty slow today what are you doing after?" Leah asked "Going to sleep" I say "You wanna go to the strip club with me?" She asks

"I don't know" I say "Come on we haven't hung out together in a while." She says "We hung out all week." I say "Shut up your going with me" she says "Okay fine" I say "Maybe you can get laid." She says

"No I'm not going to look for that" I say "Okay fine then try talking to a girl and if she solidifies your feelings for Gabriela I'll leave you alone." She says "Okay" I say

"Athena I just want to make sure you're sure before you want to tell Gabriela, if you tell her." She says "I understand" I say and she nods

Now we're off of work and changed our clothes. "Don't you gotta go to the bank?" I asked "Already did we're good" she says "Is Angelina going to be there?" I asked "No she's off today but we wasn't going because of her. We're going to help confirm your feelings." She says parking the car

"Well as soon as I do can we get something to eat?" I asked "Of course" she says before we go inside "You would think it would be emptier since it's thanksgiving week." I say "Everyone is just trying to party before thanksgiving" Leah says as we get some shots in our systems before going to watch the dancing girls.

"She's amazing" I say "She tends the get jealous sometimes of Angie. Angie said she used to be the big star of this club until Angie came in." Leah says "I mean I would be a little mad but not for a long time." I say and she nods then we go back to the bar.

"Hey. Can I buy you a drink?" a blonde haired woman asks "Sure whatever you're having." I say "I'm going to watch the next dance" Leah says and I nod "Oh was I interrupting?" She asks "No you was not we was just going to get drinks then go back to the dancers." I say sipping my drink

"I'm Eleanor what's your name?" She asks "Athena" I say "Your name is perfect for you because you're as beautiful like a goddess." She says "Thank you" I say and we talk for a while and the conversation wasn't going any further than regular talk.

"You're distracted" Eleanor says "I'm sorry that's so rude of me." I say "Don't worry about it. Let me guess you're thinking of a woman who you have feelings for?" She asked "Yeah my friend over there wants to make sure my feelings are right." I say

"Great friend, but if you really like her you should go for it and if she rejects you at least you didn't far too hard." She says "Thank you for the drink and the advice" I say "No problem here's my number just in case you want to talk." She says before leaving "How was it?" Leah asks "Can we go get food?" I asked so we leave

"How was the conversation?" Leah asked "It was good we was just talking about regular stuff. I got her number but I don't think we'll ever be intimate." I say "So you really love Gabriela?" She asks and I nod "It's different than with Nia, she was toxic and manipulated me. Gabriela is nothing like that and we have everything in common." I say

"Yeah but she's scared of her parents judgement if you do date her your relationship might be a secret." Leah says as I take a bite of my burger "I'm willingly to wait until she's ready." I say "And if she never is?" Leah asks and I stay quiet thinking

"Listen if you guys get together I'll be more than happy for you because you two are made for each other but you just gotta get Gabriela to see it." She says and I nod "I will" I say "Just don't force her to make a choice though." She adds "I won't I might lose her if I do." I say before we continue eating
